My second comment... Finally folks, before the year runs out, try to do an ECG... Electrocardiogram... If you can afford it do an Echocardiography... These two tests put you at ease and will detect any underlying heart conditions.. Now let me tell you this, better you get a heart condition than a cleansing organ condition (Liver,Kidneys, etc) there are numerous ways to address heart problems but limited ways for the cleansing organs..

I was place on BP meds too,
Untill I stopped because of hypotension.

I sometimes squeeze sand paper leave to drink is effective too

. When did you stop your BP meds? And this chest pain started 2 days ago For hypotension to occur, I believe you overtook the stated dosage.. 3.125mg a day is fine, was this your medication? Consider having an ECG asap and an Echo...

Since the doctor has placed you on continuous use of beta blockers(metropolol/propranolol), long term side effects is what you are seeing like; the heart and arteries may not function properly. This can subsequently graduate to damaging the blood vessels of the brain, heart, and kidneys, resulting in a stroke, heart failure, or kidney failure..etc

so It's best at this your own stage to go see a specialist (cardiologist). Continuous self medication to manage the symptoms my not be the best approach, but treatment of the underlining symptom. For now stop talking beer, step down to just soft drinks only, for the sake of your liver aswell.
This is misguided advice!(even if well-meaning). Sugary drinks may make things worse. Infact, people who comsume soft drinks daily are at an inreased risk of high blood pressure, research shows.

Considering your age, there's high probability it's hereditary. Ask questions from your parents to confirm this. And please check your BP time to time cos hypertension needs your absolute attention. Lost a young and vibrant Chelsea supporter to this. He was non chalant about it tho

Greetings to you all.

Since birth till date (I'm 31) I have never fallen sick to a point were a test is recommended, so I have never had a medical test all my life.

Sometimes when I feel feverish or down in anyway I usually buy malaria and typhoid medicines and that usually work for me.

But some time in 2018, (I was 27 then) I was informed by my uncle's wife that she was going to do a free medical outreach in our village as her own way of helping people (she's a nurse in U.S) and she told me she would like me to be present to help organize and sort out things to make the work easy for medical professionals she invited to do their work.

Majority of the people that turned up were oldies so we had loads of work to do bring in chairs for the overwhelming turn up.... people's blood pressure and blood sugar were check and they also had eyes test and corrective lenses were given.

Now, after the whole exhausting exercise, my auntie as a fondly call her asked all of us that worked to also check our BP and blood sugar, which took turns and did as instructed.

My blood sugar was normal according to the nurse but my BP was something else, 105/156... she immediately called my auntie's attention to it and she opted to check me herself using another equipment, she did and it came as 110/160..... she told me it's really very high and considering my age shouldn't be.

Prior to that event I have never felt anything awkward or unusual, I play football and do almost all exercises a young guy will want to do... it's also pertinent to note that I do not smoke and even though i drink beer i dont exceed 2 bottle because i have "light brain" like they will always say.

She ("my auntie"wink asked the senior doctor present to exchange contacts with me so that at intervals of 1 or 2 weeks I will always go check my BP and see if it will reverse to normal.... I went to his private clinic twice and the results was always high so he, on the second occasion gave me a card of 10mg drugs...

I took the whole card as direct and came back to the clinic this time the result was 100/138, he now asked me to always check it at any pharmacy store near me and always have the aforementioned medicines available.
The doc. asked me not to be taking it daily anymore but only when it's high (above 100/140), I have kept to this routine ever since...

Now my problem here is, in recent time I find myself feeling more week and dizzy and I dont even know how to describe the feelings cry cry
I become very worn out after 45 minutes football unlike me, I barely play now.

My auntie travelled back and seems to forgotten everything she promised, I call and no response and I hate pestering people.
I want a solution to this BP thing, I feel bad about it all the time and always ashamed to even mention it sad
I feel I'm gradually going downhill health wise....I need help and I need it urgently please...... I can't take anything more than this cry

I can relate, This happened to me in 2020 but I am healed now
Things I did
1. Eat fruits ( banana, watermelon, and apple) regularly
2. Add more vegetables to your diets
3. Perform less stressful exercise
4. Don't think about your problem and stop being anxious ( Anxiety is a major cost of High BP for young adult). Manage ur Anxiety
5. Go out and have fun, don't worry about you problem
6. Get a BP monitor and develop a pattern for checking your BP ( from every day to , every week t,o once a month and so on)
7. If you feel that your BP is getting better over a period of time, reduce the rate you take BP drug until you stop taking it.

That is how I fixed myself, for over 1 year I have not taken the drug

. Very good, I need you to do the following scans: A pelvic abdominal scan, Blood tests and Urine tests, blood cholesterol and lastly an ECG... At the end, Carvedilol 3.125 mg and a blood clotting med should be prescribed once a day. Vitamin C, folic acid and bananas are your best friend, garlic/ginger and lemon works wonders.. Amitriptyline might be prescribed for sleep disorder, if you're a working man please use this only on weekends as it weakens you.. You still need exercise, consider getting a treadmill..

Re: High BP At A Young Age, What Could Be The Cause by Jarvisxplorer: 4:26pm On Aug 25, 2022
Yeah I think I got same issues only my own is when I play football and not that High, I once passed out on the field when trying to clock back to defend a ball, after successful interception I noticed I was feeling dizzy, next I was on the ground gasping for breath I was blackening out till water was poured to resuscitate me. I first noticed this symptoms when i inhaled a very terrible bleached oil and it led to series of dry cough.
Did my check up recently and it was pretty high for someone my age.
I think what we eat could probably be our greatest killer.
Most people don't know they have a serious sickness till they get hit down by the symptoms of the sickness.

[s]The cause of high blood pressure in young adults isn't always known[/s] Lies, in Nigeria it is know. Your Darling Daddy is a foremost culprit, but addressing obesity, sedentary lifestyle and excessive alcohol or salt can be the first steps toward bringing your blood pressure down. Including addressing the quagmire APC worst misrule has thrown us into

High blood pressure in younger children is often related to other health conditions, such as heart defects, kidney disease, genetic conditions or hormonal disorders.
Older children, especially those who are overweight are more likely to have primary hypertension.

Bro, don't rush, BP is common, most people feign theirs isn't high (normal) afterward some died as a result of complications.

How I manage :
1: Rest
2: quality sleep
3: no alcohol
4: Reduce stress
5: loose weight
6: reduce salt intake
7: Reduce red meat
8: reduce cholesterol
9: No smoking
10: seek happiness

I don’t know anyone who plays football every day. Is that your situation? Let me answer the obvious; no. Run daily from today onward.

Get rid of this for four months.

Since you say your health is diminishing, visit the doctor and take whatever medication he’ll prescribe. When better, start exercising every day. Do not stop when things normalize because your body is like a vehicle which needs fuel in the form of exercise to work properly. I suspect your food aids in the condition getting worse. Tell the doctor to recommend to you a dietician who’ll get your meal plans in order.

I heard when someone with high BP starts taking this BP pills, the BP will never come back to normal level and the person would have to take the pills for lifrt. How true is this?

Hello,
High BP can be caused by not having adequate sleep, eating too much processed food which contains high cholesterol, high intake of salt, defects in your heart, etc

You are too young to be placed on drugs for a long time. It has adverse effects in the long run. There are natural supplements that help take care of this ailment and your BP will be normal again. The supplements will clean your arteries/blood vessels and keep your heart healthy.
You should use Aloe Vera Gel, forever Arctic sea, Garlic-thyme. If you need these products, you can contact me.

Drugs only manage the symptoms it does not really solve the route cause. I was once having BP problem. Taking the drugs just like my life depend on it. I have to adjust my lifestyle and food intake.
