This Irish people knw the late queen more than the Africans

I remembered how Nigerians celebrated the death of General sanni abacha

Hmm

Yaribas were holding parties all over Lagos. The day Abacha died was the day I saw Falana first and last in flesh. He was on top of a 504 Peugeot salon being driven around Ikeja under bridge while being chaired by every Yoruba in site.

I am astonished they are the one having a sleepless night over a comment made by a lady in far away USA, and lecturing and pontificating on how not to criticize your tormentor.

I am not really sad because 99% of them are the agbado, ewa and cassava urchins, decent Yorubas don't behave that way. Check the astronomical increase in the hateful comments since Peter Obi declared his interest, that will show you that they are in severe pains and have resorted to their cheap blackmail of Igbos as always.

You know I think that she knew the consequences of what that tweet might have before she posted it. I can't call her irrational because she actually went ahead to state her reasons for the tweet. Besides how sure are you that any Irish person of similar standing haven't done such?

Her reasons for feeling the way she felt or her reasoms for feeling the need to tweet what she says she felt?

Either way, no justificstion.

I'm open to being convinced...show me the irish educator of a similar standing who has made such comments.

What has the queen death got to do with Nigeria internal political issues?

The royal family stole more than enough from everyone of their colonies over the years.

She directly inherited this wealth and never condemned how this wealth was gotten for once throughout her entire existence.

She is only "special" because of what her parents stole from my Ancestors and many like myself to build an empire not because of what she invented or the greatness she contributed to Humanity.

So I don't really care much about her death or existence, we will all die someday because we live to die.

My problem now are the people that suddenly made her death a Nigerian domestic political issue.

I don't believe her death or prior existence is consequential to the future of Nigeria.
Wow...its coming from you...most people here dont like her but for the fact that an igbo lady in US hates the queen, they have seen it as an opportunity to lash on igbos cheesy grin

You said the queen had no real power? She had real power, and what uju was talking about was what happened during Biafra war, the queen had the power to put and end to it with just a snap of the finger, yet she supplied the Nigerian government with weapons is mass destruction to wipe out the biafrans , she had the power

Okay talk me through this one. What is the power of the queen to start and end wars? Do you understand the role of the queen at all??

And did i just read weapons of mass destruction? Can't take you seriously.

There might just be a high probability of one coming out soon, I never said I saw one yet but you know everyone is entitled to their opinion. Lecturers and professors involve themselves in controversies, they aren't like saints or bastions of discipline and morality.

Everyone can see how Igbos have formed a beeline to defend this. Tomorrow, when their acts begin to boomerang and folks remind them of this day, they'd tell you they did no such thing, and that people masquerading as Igbos are responsible.

This hate from this tribe is real and folks are tacitly taking notes.

I understand dear. If she had died after a prolonged illness or under strange circumstances, the celebration would have made some sense, but the woman died at a very ripe old age, and was barely ill, so I find it totally futile to celebrating the death of someone who obviously lived a life most cannot even imagine. Rather, I find her passing another sober reminder that death will come to everyone. I want mine to be like hers; peaceful and sorrounded by family.

It is only agbadorian cockroaches that are mourning the death of their almighty queen amongst her former colonies. That says an awful lot about the mental health of willing slaves. Every other part of the former British empire are genuinely enraged by the genocidal history of that evil empire. But Tinupoos henchemen want us to cry that the queen is dead. The same monarchy that killed millions of Africans in their land and made great efforts to saddle the black color with all sorts of humiliating history ..

And I have always said it here that this kind of "Stockholm syndrome" is cultural. Chinua Achebe mentioned this in his book "There was a country". Certain segments of the Nigerian state are populated by folks who have been browbeaten overtime by their evil rulers, to accept servitude as a normal way of life! You will see them rolling on the floor to greet their overdressed Obas as they get upset with you for questioning such overtly dramatic display of inferiority complex . They wear grand servitude as a badge of honor. Big shame!

These days, they have become proud agents of darkness midwifing evil. They will support all types of dictators in the country because in their land, even before the coming of the white man, monarchical dictatorships reigned surpreme! They are surprised when you call for accountability because shuch words are alien in their default cultural settings.. Who asks the Ooni or the emirs how they run the finances of the traditional stools? Who questions the ordinary humans they have made tingods!?
Stop making senseless comments...
As an Omoluabi, I'm with Uju on her comment... I wish the British royal family and their people all they did to Africa, this is not about being Igbo or Yoruba... kiss

I can't blame you for calling the gesture of showing respect in Yoruba culture as servitude because there is nothing like that in your culture, you are just jungle barbarians without culture people that wakes their parents up with a kick.

It is not only Yoruba people that practices that, people in CHINA, Japan, Thailand and Asia in general practices it but something like that is alien to a barbarian like you. At least if you want to denigrate Yoruba for that you should speak the whole fact, Yoruba doesn't prostrate to the kings alone we prostrates to our parents, elders etc as a form of showing respect but according to you any people that practices any form of bowing or prostrates are slaves only barbarians and uncivilized Igbo are Freeborn.

The funniest thing is that people like you may happily bow to Mary statue as a catholic like so many Igbo out there that practices catholic as a religion, the same religion the colonial masters you castigated forced on you through slavery but you can condemned your fellow Africans because they bow as a form of showing respect to people in their midst and not to a lifeless statue the same colonial masters convinced you to be worshipping.

The queen had every power to end the war ,
1) she gave Nigeria independence just six yrs before the war
2) when Gowon and ojukwu went to aburi in Ghana to sign an agreement concerning what was happening to Eastern Nigerians all over Nigeria and how to prevent them from breaking away from Nigeria , all the demands of Easterners was agreed upon by Gowon, but when Gowon returned to Lagos the queens ambassador stopped Gowon from implementating what was agreed upon in Ghana which led to the civil war,
3) the queen sponsored the war by siding with Nigeria shipping weapons to support Nigeria to finish biafrans, warplanes, bomber's machine guns etc

You might want to look inward first before the blame game. It's very easy to blame Biafra war on one person because it's convenient to look for a villain. Are the below points true?

Azikiwe ensured that the secession clause was omitted from the Lancaster Conference of 1954 binding documents.

Kaduna Nzeogwu truncated our thriving regional democracy. Murdering the progressive political leaders.

Aguiyi Ironsi truncated regionalism and brought about unitary FG.....

Ojukwu plunged Igbos into the needless civil war....

Let us set emotions aside. University are in the BUSINESS of education. They need money to pay staff salary (Uju is a staff), carry out research and stay afloat. Funding from people like Bezos goes a long way in achieving the university's goals. The university has a reputation to protect and reputational risk to avoid.

If a well known Irish prof, politician or influential person post a similar vile content like Uju, then I will take them serious. These Irish posters on twitter may even be BOT using fake profile pictures.
