IyaTola:
Nothing is Permanent In This World

I visited my 120-year-old grandmother and gave her some money when I was leaving and she told me she doesn't need money again.

That she can no longer buy or sell at her age, so I should give the money to the younger ones who need it.

I also have a former governor friend whom I worked with as a greenhorn PA. He was governor from 1999-2007.
Not too long ago, I saw him.

After check-in, he was left seated by the corner of the Murtala Mohammed international airport awaiting his flight.

No one even recognized him again, not even passengers from the State where he was governor, and as I walked up to him and greeted him, then asked if he wanted any assistance, he stretched forth his trembling hands to hold me and simply said,

"Thank you for even recognizing me again. I just want your attention briefly my daughter . Sit down let me ask you something.

How is your Governor doing?"

I also have a retired Major General friend whom I served as a golf caddy at the NDA golf course in Kurmi Mashi, Kaduna.
He was so rich he built a beautiful house he was so proud of.

I visited him too not long ago and wanted us to climb to our favorite spot on his balcony upstairs.

He stared at me with a broad smile and said, "IT, I can't remember the year I went up there. It is lizards and cobwebs and the likes that live there now.

Even the kids, when they come, they don't enjoy my company in the house any more than a few hours and they are gone.

I don't have the limbs to climb up there again and the cost of cleaning keeps getting higher."

I have seen a lot more things.
How yesterday became the day before, how today became yesterday, and how tomorrow became today.

How the past became history, how the present became the past, and how the future became the present.
Nothing ever remains where it is.

Your strength, your muscles, your beauty, your wealth, your guts, your worth, your courage, your talent, your YOU, will progressively diminish until it returns to its source.

The richest man in the world in the 1960s will not be on the payroll of the richest man in the world today!

Even the strongest lion in the jungle will someday become weak, and frail and be eaten by the same predators it once terrorized.

Keep that in mind always and know that no matter how appealing and tempting that thing may seem, our interest in it will diminish with time.

Our strength to consume or own it will vanish with time until everything is surely taken away from us or we are surely taken away from everything!

Yeah, nothing is permanent in this world. On the flip side, if you are from a place where basic things of life ( Electricity, pipe borne water, food, shelter) becomes luxury, people will become greedy to get those basics for themselves.

Facts, but it is more moronic to not utilize your capabilities at the time your opportunities came.

Anyone living now will die oneday, so make the best of your opportunities, (time). Try to make Nigeria better, so that the future people will appreciate your efforts for you and them.

Nigeria is the richest in Africa because currently Congo is too weak to stand, congo is split apart by all who know. The resources rush is on, The real crypto. And they will not let go even by force. They also know that the all parts of the continent is filled.

Acquire skill, so that you will fit in in the future; and also know how to cooperate with outside friends and enemies. They will soon start cleaning house, the continent is unimaginably blessed, and they are seeing that the people are becoming aware, they know it is a matter of time before we catch up to the level of their research, because they are still learning about new materials, they only know about 5 %. Many Nigerian cities and bushes are resources filled. We are not beggars, we are built for a 100 billion people, but we are not even close to that number, so we are rich. We have to be humble, support the current power of the world, and be discipline to succeed.

This is what you should skill up and stand for. Do your part, when it is over, for you, the other ants will continue.

Very brilliant write up.

However, people should not misconstrue it with laziness. Life is vanity that is a fact; We bring nothing into the world and we will take nothing out of it; that is another fact. The only thing we will be left it is our beautiful memories; that is also a fact.

However, you need money to create beautiful memories on earth. Do not say because you bring nothing into the world and you will take nothing out of it, you will now stop being hardworking. That means you will take very sad and poor memories out of this world.

Let us work hard, make money, spend it and leave the rest to God to sort out

I first came across Lucky Igbinedion in 1999. Loads of security everywhere as he marched to his imposing S-Class. Next time I came across him at much closer quarters was in 2018 at Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport, dragging his luggage by himself. Some taxi guys hailed him and he returned the greeting as he walked past.

What a difference 19 years makes. But these people do not consider these things.

I've always seen the world as vanity.
But I'll keep to how I act.
Tho I'm not toxic like you, I do snub and chase money all time.
It has been my nature also ponder about life from my childhood.
Pondering about life can make someone a sadist and make nothing interest you much.

In all we do in life, peace of mind is number one thing. And a humble lifestyle full of peace and tolerance and endurance.

You gave a practical example of Ecclesiastes 1

Sayings for King Lemuel

1These are the words of King Lemuel—the burden that his mother taught him:

2What shall I say,a O my son?

What, O son of my womb?

What, O son of my vows?

3Do not spend your strength on women

or your vigor on those who ruin kings.

4It is not for kings, O Lemuel,

it is not for kings to drink wine,

or for rulers to crave strong drink,

5lest they drink and forget what is decreed,

depriving all the oppressed of justice.

6Give strong drink to one who is perishing,

and wine to the bitter in soul.

7Let him drink and forget his poverty,

and remember his misery no more.

8Open your mouth for those with no voice,

for the cause of all the dispossessed.

9Open your mouth, judge righteously,

and defend the cause of the poor and needy.

The Virtues of a Noble Woman

10A wifeb of noble character, who can find?

She is far more precious than rubies.

11The heart of her husband trusts in her,

and he lacks nothing of value.

12She brings him good and not harm

all the days of her life.

13She selects wool and flax

and works with eager hands.

14She is like the merchant ships,

bringing her food from afar.

15She rises while it is still night

to provide food for her household

and portions for her maidservants.

16She appraises a field and buys it;

from her earnings she plants a vineyard.

17She girds herselfc with strength

and shows that her arms are strong.

18She sees that her gain is good,

and her lamp is not extinguished at night.

19She stretches out her hands to the distaff

and grasps the spindle with her fingers.

20She opens her arms to the poor

and reaches out her hands to the needy.

21When it snows, she has no fear for her household,

for they are all clothed in scarlet.d

22She makes coverings for her bed;

her clothing is fine linen and purple.

23Her husband is known at the city gate,

where he sits among the elders of the land.

24She makes linen garments and sells them;

she delivers sashes to the merchants.

25Strength and honor are her clothing,

and she can laugh at the days to come.

26She opens her mouth with wisdom,

and faithful instruction is on her tongue.

27She watches over the affairs of her household

and does not eat the bread of idleness.

28Her children rise up and call her blessed;

her husband praises her as well:

29“Many daughters have done noble things,

but you surpass them all!”

30Charm is deceptive and beauty is fleeting,

but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised.

31Give her the fruit of her hands,

and let her works praise her at the gates.

The most important thing we need in our life is a GUIDE because imagine the old people you visited living their whole life without a GUIDE and coming to realised lately when it's dark that they've live their whole life without a GUIDE.
I know and i repeat it again that i know for sure that our creator would not ask us how many degree or money or how many times we go to church or donate to the church while one earth but what he's going to ask us is what we did about the understanding of his WORD because his WORD is life and to know it is life and he said we should know him for he's the WORD. Some of us today only know our wealth our riches our job our wife our husband our children our church our pastor our GO our girl/boyfriend our selves our ranks and titles but when it comes to the WORD we are lost because we've been left without a GUIDE.

"Nothing is permanent in this world".

Wishing you very Reflective Times.

FOOD FOR THOUGHT!!!
these is really deep.. Very very deep.. Nothing is really permanent

Since you Nigerians are not emotionally intelligent. Which is why your thieving politicians keep fooling you all.
If you DM, PM or call the the OP for help, you will be scammed and come back to cry on here.
