A Lieutenant Colonel of the Nigerian Army, N.B. Ahmed has been abducted following an ambush on a military convoy by gunmen suspected to be terrorists.

What really irks me is the patent bias by the brown envelope journalists and media houses in Nigeria in reporting their stories. In case, you might NOT have noticed, when stories are being reported about IPOB and ESN, these COWARDS never use the words, "suspected" or " alleged." But when the story is about the Fulani terrorists, they never fail to use the words, "suspected to be terrorists" even when evidence shows that the abduction or killings were committed by the terrorists. What a bunch of shameless cowards!

Somehow rightly explained to me that he is a commanding officer of a company within a Division.

A Division is composed of several Brigades and Companies.

The abducted officer is probably a commanding officer of a unit under the Division.

He is not a GCO or General Commanding Officer.
OK. Understood. Thanks for the explanations.

Strong reason i say, Yorubas, una eye never clear yet.
Let me tell you something, Your enemies are not the Igbos. Your enemies are the ones you dine and wine with - The Fulani. If there was no fulani tribe in Nigeria, South africa no go see our backs.
Nigeria runs on Sharia, and the normal commanding Law, we as the citizens do not know which to follow, and i bet you, Tinubu and Shettima will make it worse. Because the entire Nigeria would even become unhabitable for you as the citizens let alone foreign people who want to come here, this is tip of the iceberg.

Yorubas should put on guard from this point. Igbos are always ready for anything (na why una no like us) But when they finish with the north, they are coming for the West, only God knows what would happen... they are in Ondo already...
Hmmmmm

A Lt col can’t not be a commanding officer of a Division , he is probably the co of a battalion at most , maybe 1BAD at Gusau

But I don't think a lieutenant colonel can head a division, probably a brigade

A Brigadier heads a brigade.

When these guys are arrested one fool would come out someday, release them and say they are repentant terrorists. Brilliant military men loosing their lives unnecessary because of evil politicians.

I really want the military to take over again.
They've become too civilized under uncivilized civilians...
Military instinct shouldn't be tamed in Africa, especially Nigeria.
We're not yet ripe for that...

For a Lt.Colonel to be abducted like a schoolboy by a theorist group when Nigeria is not fighting an open War against another nation is a big shame to the president as the chief security officer of the country

a benevolent military dictatorship is what Nigeria needs. Someone in the mould of Sankara or Ghadafi.
