So I just thought since I was at computer village o,if I enter street will be able to go home with 6+ today
That's how I entered different places ,they were telling me 30k
Phone that I bought 130k

Later saw a guy that said he would buy it,but we would have to go to where they are selling screen ,he will test that screen is the problem
So we got there,they said screen is 10k,he fixed the screen ,not fully tho
And he on the phone abd checked everything only to start telling me rubbish again that he will pay for the screen and pay me 30k
How is that different from all the others
I told him I was not selling again ,that I will fix my screen
So while I was trying to do transfer to the screen guy
Na so this guy carry my old screen go o,with my touch I'd, all the stuff they are meant to use to fix the new screen,even my nuts

Now I have a new screen,with nothing to fix it
I went back to my old guy ,he said now I have to add 20k to my phone before i can get 6s32g
He said touch id is created for each phone that others don't work for it ,that even him would have to really search
My front speaker too won't work
And there is also a pan that's missing

Anyway I regret not waiting I swear

Anytime I needed to do something in computer village,I just give him a call

And b4 I met him, anytime I wanted to transact or buy anything there, I go to people that have shops(that have a genuine address

Well, dem never scam me before for computer village, you just have to be smart and Don't trust anybody even though they are from the same state with you, it's better to buy from shop than roadside...I bought my redmi from shop and it's working perfectly

i was "fufued" it was a long story. It was a bad experience but i learnt my lessons. Not all that's glitter is gold.

i said it on another thread that most nigerian artisans or hand work people can never make it in abroad where tradesmen make good money, because they have made cheating the customer a key part of their business model

If you see anything wrapped in nylon(the one used to microwave stuffs) yes, that white transparent soft nylon, especially on laptops and TV’s etc, JUST RUN.

Computer Village, Alaba market and Ladipo market are terrible places to buy things if you aren't smart enough. Unpalatable news I heard from colleagues of mine in my office running to almost #650k in 2012 at different period but same year. That's not to say there are no genuine sellers of products. So let's be guided always.

Went to change my MacBook's battery and the engineer was like"are you sure it's only battery issue that is wrong with this laptop" I told him you can see it's already asking to be serviced, he said they should diagnose it but I already know where they where heading to I just took my laptop and moved before they start swapping things from it.

Truth be told, anybody can be scammed. However, these things are avoidable.

I was once entering computer village from Ikeja along, I wanted to buy something for my laptop. I saw a friend I know all the way from my state standing in the midst of these agberos. They were trying to convince him and where he was, there is no way he would leave that place without dropping something. I quickly used language to tell him to follow me immediately. After we successfully left there , i scolded him that "you came all the way from our state, instead of entering a shop you wanted to buy from the road side, na God save you today".

The other one, another friend took me to Alaba, he said he had seen a very big TV at a very cheap price. That's why I followed him in the first place. They were just disturbing that he should pay and he almost paid. I now told him not to pay till the stuff was tested. That's when I was told that it was no testing and had it been that he dropped the money, that would have been the end. So I asked him, "do you think if this TV was working properly that these guys would sell it cheap?"

So some of these things can be avoided....

Mine was way back in 2014 it era where people were transitioning from Blackberry to Android. I just entered uni them and I needed to change my BBtouch ( the sliding one) to Android I think infinix hot 1 just came out then so I went to CV to see if I can get a reasonable amount for my BBtouch naso I met this guy, they will approach you in a humble manner thinking they want to do you a favour but it a fat lie they just want to rip you
He said he would sale it for me for 4 thousand chaiii phone bought for second hand for 20,000 I said lailai I can't sell for such amount. Because he has been so humble so he said I should bring it first that he wants to check something we started looking for buyers and entering inside inside those deep areas, about 10min from outside he just faced me and stared asking me where the phone is I was like are you mad the phone has been with you since now
Werey even said I dragged the phone from his hand dragged kwa? I was dumbfounded people were already gathering towards us and people started looking at me like I am one thieve

One guy that was following the whole scenerio from outside just came to meet and and whispered to my ear that I better collect that 4,000 or I loose bought the phone and money and even get paraded as a thieve

Chai it was a bad experience my heart nearly jumped out of my body that day. Since that day I vowed I will never go to CV without knowing who I want to go and meet or dealing with those ones that have permanent shop

Computer �️ village is a place to go with your full chest out,if not they will rub you shit, meanwhile stop patronizing road sides vendors in there.

Twice I got played there.

First one was I took a phone for repair(all these China phone with tv around 2009) the engineer collected advance fee and gave me a date to come back for my phone, na 5000k him charge cos the phone no dey receive network signal, omo date reach I go the shop them tell me say engineer no dey stay the same shop wey I meet am the other day omo my day spoil that day cos 2.5k and phone gone.


2010 was the second time. I was having 15k to go purchase Nokia 3110c naso one guy stop me for road show me the exact phone wey I wan go buy for phone shop. Baba give me the phone make I feel am still promise me say him go free the 2gb memory card wey dey inside the phone. I feel the phone then check everything na original and the phone dey authentic naso bargain back and forth baba agree for 6.5k omo belle sweet me. Baba say make I give am phone make him remove him SIM card, as him dey remove am naso I open wallet to bring out him money, mind you the money na in 500 Naira denomination so I dey try make sure I no give am pass the agreed amount. As I finish baba don package phone gimme inside the phone kpali count money wey I give am come tell me say make I dey go cos task force go fit come arrest me for buying phone from people like them wey dey hustle for street. Naso I disembark dey with joy sake of say I don buy my dream phone then and I buy am for cheaper price. Joy no gree me reach house to flaunt my phone naso I tear kpali remove to on make I flex am some inside bus na there soundtrack change like Nollywood epic movie. Omo as I power phone on from the top naso fufu spirally come out(broken-hearted and dumbfounded) tears full my face instantly.

As I reach my bus stop I just buy mp3 take console myself
