Even if you have the new note. Won't you buy anything again or would you be rejecting the notes from vendors.

At the bolded....you can say that again. Honestly, I just laugh when I see people on this forum claim that new Naira notes will stop vote buying by Tinubu.

It simply shows that it's either they are just plain ignorant or grossly unexposed to the lifestyle and activities of the rich and wealthy in this country.

I can assure them that anybody who has over N100 million up to billions in cash with an account or accounts in any bank in Nigeria or has stake to such value in those banks will have direct access to new notes before you and I.

I speak from experience, having worked directly and at different times, with 2 different multi-billionaires in Lagos during my days of paid employment.

And these multi-billionaires are just businessmen, not top politicians like Tinubu who know not just businessmen, but have Governors and Senators at their beck and call.

you need to spend it so it goes into circulation not banking it, there is not enough of it in circulation

Use mobile app ,stop using cash is outdated.

My sister thought of this too until she get to the market to buy vegetable oil and the woman selling it said she is not taking transfer but cash she had to take the old notes from POS to do her shopping.

CBN should simply pass an instruction that any atm which dispenses old Naira notes should be destroy by the people around, seems the banks are trying to frustrate the efforts of the CBN because most of the banks are owned by corrupt politicians.

I was in a Korope around 7:45pn going home, When the driver started collecting money, A guy gave him the new1k note, the driver refuse to collect it, and even drop the guy, calling the note fake, me and another guy, had to convince the driver, and called the guy back in,

Thing is CBN fail to take 3 things into consideration, Before Redesigning the Notes,

1, They should had Starbucks gradually withdrawing high currency, like #500, #1000notes,

2, Give a space of like 4 to 5 months for it to calculate around, Then start Redesigning new ones

3, They Should had Embank on a wide publicity about the new note for like 3months, fill the Airwaves with its jingle, through TV, radio and read print,

Before finally giving a deadline,.. Not this fire Bridget approach

banks don't have enough of the new notes and CBN is just twisting your brains.

Part of the aim of this exercise is to reduce the volume of money in circulation and push people to go cashless. So do not expect the new notes to flood everywhere. Pay in your old notes and in the worst case scenario, asked to be paid in 100 naira bills for now.
