I want use visitor's visa to travel to UK or US for 2 weeks and look for a software testing job with work permit.
Most of the online job applications through glassdoor and LinkedIn are always being rejected, so I want to go there for two weeks and see if I can secure one, then come back and apply for normal work permit visa.

even if you get visitors visa. They will still reject you because other applicants have papers to work and can resume at short notice. Many employers dont have patience or dont want to incur additional visa sponsorship costs.Your best bet is to keep applying from Nigeria one day you will get an offer/ sponsorship.

It doesn't work that way. The first thing any employer would ask you is if you are authorized to work, and you can't do that on a visit visa.

Doesn't work this way bro. You need work authorization. Why don't you try and intensify your application? Or come to the US through a legit Visa?

I think he can try Canada, no need to come back just convert your visa to work visa.

you can only convert if you get a valid job offer. Chances of getting a job offer while on visit visa is like 1 in 10,000. Right from application state majority of the jobs require you have working status already.

So converting visiting visa to work visa by them is a scam.

its not a scam, but requirements dey. Indians and chinese will easily meet those requirements because their country men have companies they can use. The Nigerians with companies are few and usually don need much staff.

I'm currently residing in Nigeria and a Nigerian citizen as well, I'm at the verge of being offered a job at the United States but my potential employer is asking that I get a temporary I-551 stamp on my Nigerian passport or temporary I-551 printed notation on a machine readable immigrant visa. Attached with this mail is the document sent to me by my potential employer with what is required of me encircled. Please can anyone guide me on how to go about this and what are the requirements needed for me to attain this status.
