Really disturbing news

I hope the government can probe this and get the root cause analysis.

What barriers could be put in place to prevent future occurrences? what structure or process need to be reviewed or implemented to prevent it from happening again.

Is the driver qualified or suffering mental problem? is he mad?
What processes are in place to clear a driver "fit to drive" before he moves?
IS there any alert in place to notify the train that there is an obstacle ahead and automatically activate the breaking system?

So many questions to be asked and addressed

Answer to your question
Over head bridge is already constructed here which is about to be commission with the red line.

The bus driver is to be blame because that area is a construction site with signal to alert vehicle and horn from the train from afar.

That accident was avoidable.

There should be cross barriers as we have in other countries.

They need to station civil servants at this major and strategic locations, PWD, Ilupeju bye pass, Jibowu inward idioro etc
Most atimes commuters are not aware of rail interceptions and horn do no good when there is hold up already.
I saw how miracleous a private car escape this kind of incident @ pencilima back days

.....but not for the one Abgero dragged a passenger into an oncoming vehicle......?!
Or multiple derailing tankers and containers off bridges.....
Name it......
Let the government take full responsibility and see whether these accidents would not reduce.

We are our Brothers' keepers in this country and you can see that in the way we run our lives even on the roads. However, the human factors persist. Government must come good to provide a humane system where accidents are learned from and averted where possible....

Obi isn't different from them. He's the same. Just complaining now cos he's not in power just as Buhari did till he was given chance and he messed up. A national tragedy like this need not to be used as playing politics. Commiserate and leave. Don't say it's avoidable as if LASG isn't doing enough. It was clearly accounted the driver was careless and was with ear piece.
Only in Nigeria will politicians be capitalizing on tragedy. It's just to show you they aren't different. They v just not gotten there that's why they appear as heroes.

It's crucify not crossify and nobody is crucifying him. But he can be cautioned.
Why should Obi not be cautioned on such a reckless statement?
Is he above mistakes that he ll err and can't be corrected?

Lagos State Govt is culpable. Even if the NRC staff who are supposed to man the intersection refused to report to work, why not install traffic lights at the various intersection to save your own people? Afi ariwo heee, bii loudspeaker that the puppet is known for

Secondly, employment into public offices in Lagos is done on a man-know-man basis, instead of merit-based. Just obtain a letter from one baalę or a political figure and you have the job. Those BRT drivers are reformed moluę drivers mainly recruited with the aid of the oluomo boys who broke away from the NURTW. People should just take a look at those buses when ambode brought them in and how their looks are now...in barely 4 years. Most of the used luxury buses plying mainland-island routes, owned by individuals were transport buses abroad for many years before they were sent to Africa .

Had they employed drivers on merit, the buses would have been well maintained, drivers too would have acted professionally. I remember that foolish brt driver who killed that pretty girl he picked at lekki that night and dumped her body by the roadside. See what another brt driver had done today

Quackery wouldn't have a place in employment meant for professionals anymore. A new, people-friendly government is coming. Ara eko, ę lo fokan balę
Just say RIP and commensurate with the families of those that lost their love ones but here you are writing jargons and at the end still campaigning for new peoples fraudulent friendly government...Pls just be sincere is Jendor and Gbadebo better than Sanwo Olu in all ramifications.Accidents happens all over the world including well structured countries but guess what their citizens criticize government with proffer solution not hatred and myopic comment that showed nothing but frustratingly ...take it or leave it Lagos remain the best state in Nigeria.

He should not only declare mourning but try to find a way to avoid this kinda accident in future. May God console the bereaved.

Definitely, something would be done.

This incident reminded me of Bellview Plane Crash and the death of Stella Obasanjo that happened simultaneously though the information came about one hour difference.

There is a tussle for Lagos in the Spirit realm. It is very painful that Alaafin of Oyo left at the beginning of this battle.
I have repeated the vacuum created by the exit of Alaafin at a time he is needed severally because of what I saw.

Sanwoolu should be courageous, the Lord God of Elijah will answer by fire in Jesus Name, Amen.

The Aworis from Ogun and Lagos State should not sleep.

The governor of Lagos State just mentioned in his statement that the accident was "totally avoidable"

I wonder why you still express displeasure with the "avoidable" used by other commentators especially when a superior authority in Lagos like the governor has corroborated same claim
