Came across this on the net.
It's about people's experience with Agberos in Onitsha.

You must be very silly if it's Twitter comments that you uploaded here. Twitter where people posts anything just to trend. Even those that haven't been to Onitsha will cook up something to join the trend.

Besides this is not even up to half of what's done in Lagos.

When ppl see dem as thugs and avoid dem feeling u better dan dem....well then go reason ur mata

Driving the street of Lagos last festive period, I have encountered agbero on 3 different occasions, a ran into a diversion due to construction along Itire Mike 2 Road, it was an agbero guy that guided me through Agboju to bypass the road.

The other encounter was along Volks Barack in the early hour of the day, an Agbero guided me to the exact road I wanted to link.

I equally ran into a concrete demarcation killer around 5am along Igbo Elerin road and sets of Agbero came to my rescue with their ingenuity in how lift a car that's hooked in such pillar, compare those with Anambra agbero then you'll know the different between millipede and Python

These stories are real.agbero are menace at Onitsha.

One time my mum sent bags of raw groundnuts to me from the north and I took them to sell at Onitsha, the shege I saw from agbero informed my not frequently going to Onitsha today.

As it is,I have developed serious phobia going to Onitsha.

From my state to Onitsha is just #200.

Asaba is Onitsha GRA now. Onitsha is Asaba's Ajegunle.

Haa, South East thugs are the worst.

Broad daylight like this, these people will rob you in the market and their fellow Igbos will keep shut.

Dem no born you to press your phone inside bus for Onitsha market.

The time I travelled to East, it's from Ondo that people have been warning me to stay alert once we leave Delta and enter Onitsha, Anambra.

See heavy sticks with nails that their thugs were using to attack traders.

That was Onitsha óò. When I got to Owerri in Imo it was same story. Daylight robbery in Douglas Market, Owerri. Igbo man will sew slippers for you and tell you it's 4k. Oga, no be new slippers I wan buy na. Na ordinary to sew slippers wey cut. Even the new slippers no pass 2k. Before you know anything the Igbo guy will change it for you. He may attack you and even call you a thief. And his fellow Igbos will either watch as he abuses you or even help him in his evil (which they are aware of).

Nobody in my family had ever been robbed at gun point until my brother was posted by NYSC to South East. Guy had to avoid road transport completely and wait till end of NYSC to take flight home.

And the wickedness of Nigeria media isn't helping. Crimes in the south east are just too underreported. All these killing, kidnapping and beheading news we see from south east are just a fraction of the reality. Haa, that place is the most backward place I've ever been to on this earth. I'm not capping!

Election nkọ, people are asking Igbos to allow foreigners contest posts in South East. Lol, you should start from asking them to allow foreigners vote.

Dem no born your papa well as a foreigner to go out and vote. This last election my uncle told me that Igbos were threatening to punish all the northerners that left south east to vote in their home towns.

Of all people in this Nigeria, south easterners are the last you would expect to talk about agberoism. But then a wickedness and hypocrisy...

You don't even know how to lie. all this epistle of lies just to try and justify how Agberos and MC OLuomo are now an unofficial arm of government.

There is a difference between Agbero and touts being empowered by the government and Agbero as a general menace in society.

In Lagos, I can swear that if MC Oluomo coughs, Sanwo-Olu, a sitting governor go catch a cold.

Can you imagine a tout being more important than a sitting governor?

Ko boju mu nau, E je ka soro sibi toro wa!
You have good point but Onitsha and Igbos generally are something else. No order. Just money money money.

False, non of them is exaggerated, i have experienced every story narrated here directly or indirectly.

Last month my girlfriend was held hostage by agberos for over 5 hours in Onitsha against her wish, she was forced to pay 6,000 from Onitsha to Enugu. Some of the passengers where beating and robbed by them.

Onitsha agberos are thieves, kidnappers unlike lagos Agberos.

But i was in Onitsha and nothing of that sort happened to me. Why una like to lie like this? Please tell me where in Onitsha and it must be a complete description.

While agberos are a menace in Onitsha, some or if not all of the stories are exaggerated.

Meanwhile Soludo promised to fix the issue but he's currently busy writing letters to Obi.

When you hear stories about huge IGR, this is how they're made. The boys have to forcefully make the money to pay their bosses who already paid for the slots to the government
We know na, if this is all they could get from Onitsha agbero problem then Onitsha doesn't have agbero problem.

I can never forget what happened to me some years ago when I mistakenly entered a bus going to the east in Lagos, after paying money for bus from Lagos to port Harcourt, bus carry us from Lagos stop us for Ogun state. Refused to refund us, but instead started wasting time saying they were fixing the bus, next thing we know conductor disappear, before we know driver disappear.

Some of us that refused to leave, later on driver appeared, we were arguing about him refunding us, agberos in Ogun state that showed up, driver and them start to speak Yoruba, the driver settle them, then say e no concern them. This and that.

I left Lagos by 6am in the morning reach Ogun by 8am was there till 3pm, after that happened I enter another bus by 3pm going to ph. I reach ph the next day that day.

Honestly, these tales are bogus. Igbo faux agberos, do not confidently carry out dastardly deeds like the originators of agberoism. I can only believe the one about taxing heavy baggage carriers in Keke and the facemask defaulters, during the pandemic.
But the others? Well, if they are true, I'd call them daylight robbers outrightly and not lump them with the regular Igbo agberos.
