Those igbos and their crowd mentality are the ones that painted Tinubu like an evil man. When they dont like you theres hardly anything you can do to make them like you, thats their nature, their hearts are dark. The best thing to do when they hit you hard is to hit them harder. There are many people that has always believed in Tinubu, look at the men he has raised (Fashola, Osinbajo, Aregbesola, Alake etc), they're still relevant today because he keeps supporting them. Many people who were Governor during fasholas time, how many of them are still RELEVANT TODAY. That's why I dont joke with DAVIDO's words, WE RISE BY LIFTING OTHERS. Dont join Ibos to bring others down, it's their nature not to see good in others ESPECIALLY A YORUBA PERSON.
Bros it's wrong for you to quote an intelligent piece and talk rubbish. Nobody hates tinubu. What we hate is a sick president. I always say this is BAT was the man he was 8 years ago now, the Igbos in LASG would vote for him overwhelmingly. Look at OJO most igbos who stay in Ojo know the work BAT put in there..... but immediate BAT left those places where igbos reside have been left to decay. Go to amuwo-odofin the roads there(from festac to satellite town) is/has been very bad. Akoka main gate nko? From there to chemist Bust stop it's only recently(last year) that road was tarred..... Nigerian Navy barracks oJo nko? Till date the road in that entire axis is bad. So how do you want the igbos to be happy with them? Sanwo-olu should go to those places and work on them. Remember no dynasty last forever, but APC in Lagos can with inclusive governance. Look if non-indegenes leave lagos, lagos is finished ooo. Bring everyone together and enjoy leadership. Na mumu dey suffer in silence and igbo people no mumu

It’s actually a very brilliant idea. A coastal city like Lagos harnessing wind or water for energy generation should be much more sustainable than relying on Solar but all in all, let’s give kudos to both Mr President, Mohammadu Buhari and of course, the progressive, right-thinking visionary Leaders that God has been blessing Lagos and the entire south western States with, this is a really commendable thing and I’m glad Lagos and Nigeria indeed dodged a bullet by not believing that Anambra’s ogogoro man grin

The govt must take the business of governance serious.
If you embark on the litres of fuel guys in computer village consumed daily and cost, you will be amazed we have clueless govt in Nigeria.

With the bill that state can now generate electricity and distribute, LASG should me more strategic.
Electricity shouldn't be a thing that is luxury to Nigerians..

Yeah, you've been unveiling 4th mainland bridge since 1999.

Eko Atlantic was also "unveiled" around the same year...

But kudos to thr Lagos state government. They sure know how to get their super fans excited with anticipated super mega projects (a.k.a pseudo bragging rights) that make little or no difference in their personal lives. One month from today, they will face flood again; face heavy traffic again; and battle it out with agberos and offensive "gutter" and waste management.

Make no mistake, those enjoying awa Lagos do not get this much excitement. I mean, those paying heavily in private estates around the lekki corridor for security, water, drainage, orderliness, etc.),.

There is no way you will pay a private estate N5 million per annum on rentals and praise "Sanwo Eko".

Well there is nothing in principle in this plan foreclosing Wind power so saying BETTER is not right ,It would be additional ,not instead of and not the main component. It is not predictable or controllable
in theory,Wind power at its best would not ,alone be sufficient. It has capacity limitz
However ,in practice, the Bights of Benin and Bonny are not in the path of major winds. Being coastal does not automatically translate into significant winds
Ever head of any hurricanes in our coasts? The coastal incurving into those two bights means we do not have great winds compare to the PanHandle e.g

You don’t need one source - you can harness from different sources.

All advanced countries have at least 3-4 sources of energy which they harnessed to generate energy.

The US has at least 8. UK uses 7. Russia uses 5. China uses 6. Etc.

if you calculate it very well, some of them spend up to like 100k to get fuel monthly, the only reason they don’t feel it is because they do buy it every day, I wish electricity bill can also be like that

IPOB people will not like this good news about Yoruba land...... I think Sanwo-Olu should run for governor in Anambra after his second term in Lagos. He will really do well for those villagers living in huts in South east.

Mister efiko, you’re obviously the one seeking attention and talking for talking sake here and not the person you were accusing of doing so.
Firstly, who told you wind energy is not controllable and unpredictable? grin I actually stopped taking you seriously when I got to that part. Now sir, let me school you a little, wind energy is and will always be ahead of solar as the later remains the most efficient and sustainable option albeit far more noisy but they are both green/clean energy sources. Solar energy sources produce lesser energy than wind turbines (you can google this to get yourself more educated)
Wind farm are well suited in places like coastal areas with high wind speeds, on hilltops and mountains or plain landscapes with less wind obstruction.
The only disadvantages of using the wind turbines option is that they are relatively more expensive and are way more noisy, making them unsuitable for use in urban settings.
So you’re wrong to say it isn’t better than solar my friend. Read more about green energy sources and the most efficient one among them. So again, the poster you were tackling was actually making a really insightful point (though I wouldn’t say wind energy is more cost effective because it’s relatively not) and don’t interpret that to mean rubbishing this Lagos government’s plans.
Away from that, kudos to Buhari, Jagaban of Africa and of course, the forward-thinking Governments of Lagos state and APC for this insightful work, we will surely get there someday.

You see you don't have sense. A solar project that generates IGW not megawatts oooo needs a very massive amount of Land more than the size of Surulere. Africa's Largest solar plant in Egypt that generates more than 100MW has land that is twice that of surulere not to talk of 1GW. Ahhhh the way these politicians lie ehnnnn even Ambode and Fashola that worked never jerrymandered to the media like Sanwo Olu. Haaaa!!!!! This project na another format to siphon money.

Land isn't an issue.
Simple partnership with Ogun state solves that.

It's actually not new. Bola Tinubu started the IPP in lagos years ago. It was an Independent power project that was done in Lekki I think. Then Fashola continued and commisioned another. It's still in use till now.
They should have just developed more but Ambode kicked against everything Fashola.
Hate him or love him (BAT), I knew what lasgidi was like before 1999 and after, most especially Oshodi, where the roads were so bad, you needed to look for a place where rocks were arranged to cross the road or you enter the mud to cross and then pay some folks to wash your legs. BAT really tried.
If each person that comes into government delivers a major project, we will soon find it hard to get big projects to work on. That is a steady way to development. My own opinion.
Indeed. BAT started the Enron project.
