It's not too late for him. He can still repent, confess his sins and seek forgiveness. It's not too late. But the sooner the better, cos very soon even school children will start reading about his drugs case and other things. Did his children feel shame? Maybe. . . it is reported one daughter is in an 'insane' assylum in the abroad. If he does not have shame, don't expect shame to be in his family lineage. This is very genetic! |

This is very genetic! I don't really think those ones are the problem. I think it's people around him, and some people who have no love for Nigeria, who time and time again have been known to support the worst people to rule Nigeria. Some of these people do it to spite an ethnic group, even at the expense of Nigeria. Otherwise, I see no reason why people will purposely support an drug baron to rule over 200 million people. Thank goodness other groups are waking up to the reality of bad government, and relieving the burden from those of us who have been screaming our voice hoarse against those promoting poor leaders. Bad leaders affect everyone, not just PointB or his Igbo ethnic group, that some people want to suffer 200 million people just to frustrate them from government. |

PointB: Dear Tinubu,
A storm is coming; a big storm. Bigger than what many of your advisers and hangers-on care to let you in on. This court case portend a clear and present danger to you. It threatens to expose all that you have 'worked' tirelessly over the years to bury. Dead bodies of yester years, injuries that've healed, and scars that have been covered. These are all game in the storm to come.
Is it worth it that in your old age, you want to drag yourselves through this storm, this mud, and be remembered for things that are less than stellar? Is it worth it for your wife (cos her name was conspicuously mentioned in the drugs case). Let's say both of you are hardened and would not care for anything beyond your 'emilokan' ambition, what about poor Seyi? He seems a likeable kid, full of passion and energy, one for the future. Would you like to damage him too, in this brickbat of litigation that is coming.
Even before the first word of this case is uttered in the formal court, the court of public opinion (read public opprobrium) will first scrutinize every letter of the drug crime judgement and vent their frustration and anger on you, and eventually your family. Is it worth it? For you, for Remi, for Seyi? They call you strategist, think! Cos this tactical manoeuvre, will come with strategic blunder. You still have your Lagos, for now!
Let's assume, you don't care about how this impact you and your family. What about your ethnic group? Your countrymen, your nation? How will these rub off on them? And then, there is a small matter of the international community. How would they perceive you, win or lose? How will they see the country Nigeria? What message are we passing to them about ourselves as a people, after the potentially damaging court case? They are already brandishing Visa bans left and right. What next after the court cases?
Sun Tzu said, the best war is the one that was never fought. An anonymous philosopher once said, "No matter how far you have walked on the wrong road, turn back!" Let me advise you in your Yoruba proverb -"IGI GOGORO MA GUN MI LOJU, OKEERE LA TI N WO" (Literal Translation: For a sharp twig not to pluck out your eyes, you must yell out from a far distance. You have to be proactive to avoid errors /disasters /tragedy. )
Once you enter the ring with Peter Obi, in the name of election tribunal, win or lose, YOU lose! Remi loses, Seyi loses. Save them by saving yourself. Do not besiege a walled city - Sun Tzu.
Give it up, all of it, for Peter Obi, for the South. Win, by losing!
Sincerely,
Indefatigable

I understand where you're coming from. Without gainsaying, you're one of those hangers-on, leeching off the the man, Tinubu. Your livelihood depends on his presidency, To that extent, you do not care howsoever he arrives the final bus-stop, even is he gets there a tenth of the man he was, provided you bread is buttered.
This is the crux of the problem, people like you who sees every genuine advice to him as an 'US vs Them' thing. At tactics you're using to drive the sickly old man, and his innocent family to their doom. If Tinubu were to be your father, not your ATM, would you continue to push him towards, infamy, destruction, and damnation, in the name of 'emilokan'?
You say you care about Nigerians, so why are Nigerians not celebrating his electoral victory? Even Yoruba are not cheering him. just some bunch of paid urchins, responding to puppeteers, such as you.
Well, like I said, I wish Tinubu good fortunes in the battle ahead, but more than that, I hope he retreats into the comfort of his home, warm embrace of his wife, and smile of his good son. A warrior does not fight every battle; discretion has always been a better part of valour.
Peter Obi is coming; Nigerians want justice! all this of mentioning Peter Obi coming, remember he came third position. What of if not tinubu and power goes to atiku that came second. That will be too bad. Power must return to South, wether tinubu or Obi 1 Like |
