No doubt, all votes are equal but for the purpose of emerging as president of Nigeria, the candidate must fullfil all the requirements which includes but not limited to getting at least 25% of the total votes cast in the FCT Abuja

We don't practise Electoral College in Nigeria so there is no special status given to any state or constituency

The way I understand the law, the 36 states and FCT clause is meant to make sure that FCT votes are counted as if the FCT was a full fledged state, not the special administrative area it is.

Otherwise, if the court rules in favour of Obi, what that means that in future, someone can win the presidential vote in say 24 states, get at least two thirds in six more states, and because he or she did not win in the FCT, therefore THEY lost the election, or the election should be rerun, or as Obidients are now saying, the election should be handed over to whoever won the FCT, even if the person lost all the other states.
In other words, if FCT votes are superior in essence to other votes, why have an election? We may just simply confine the selection of the president to the FCT in future, and leave other states alone. (Saves a lot of money, eh?)

The fact is, Obi lost the election, and all we are seeing are rubbish arguments being propounded by his supporters. Basically , clutching at straws.

Even then, I understand why. APC messed us up for 8 years, Tinubu is not the kind of person I would vote for president, and indeed, he is one of the main reasons why I don't look at APC; even if you can exonerate him from the thousands of dollars he had in his bank account that was blood money, there is still Alpha beta, and the fact that Lagos is a mess still up till today.....but the fact is , he won the election, and the opposition should start preparing for the 2027 yesterday.

25% inclusive of Abuja, inclusive of Abuja was added because Abuja is seen as a federal capital and not a state. Abuja votes are not special, the law won't contradict itself.

The answer lies on your assertion..state isn't same as federal capital hence why Abuja has a minister and not a governor

There are many legal hurdles lined up on your way to presidency even if you escape 25% constitutional requirement in FTC and the Mount Everest evidence $460,000 forfeiture of drug proceeds remains insurmountable.

All the cases are very watery and more like a waste of court's time.

The word "AND" will cause the greatest upset in somebody's political history.

Three scenarios

1. For anybody to be the senior prefect of the school, he/she must have at least 25% of votes in 2/3 of the senior secondary school classes AND the UTME prep class.

Simple...it means for the purpose of the prefect elections...the UTME prep class are considered as students, and not as guys who have one foot in the university.

Plus, prefects are not chosen by the students anyways.

2. For anyone to be declared the best graduating student of the college of Medicine, he/she must score at least 75% in 2/3 of his/her registered medical courses AND Philosophy 601.

Am a medico. Phillosophy was complusory in my time...plus we took it in 200l not 600l. At any rate, to be declared the best graduating student one has to have the highest aggregrate scores, or the best CGPA,

Plus University courses are divided into two, compulsory and elective.

Finally, university courses are not similar to voting.

3. Akpan's Family is made up of Mr. Akpan, Mrs. Akpan and their 9 daughters. Ini is the eldest, most beautiful and has several suitors.

For any man to propose to her, he must at least convince 2/3 of the women in the house AND the Man of the house.

Seriously, most state capitals have representatives from all the tribes in one way or the other.
