There are some career wives in the abroad who specialize in marrying well to do men with the goal of divorcing and inheriting wealth within the shortest time possible. The answer you post ain't correct the next of kin should be his kids, because wife can divorce and marry another man .so when your wife is your next of kin and you both divorce she and you share your property half each she will spend her share with her new lover that the reason i say his kids should be his next of kin

You are right, but ladies/women of nowadays will speed up your death when they know that you make them an heir in case of your demise.

For me, my child is my heir while he/she is still under 18, my brother will be the one to pilot the affairs till s/he is 25.

A man's next of kin is supposed to be his wife

In Nigeria, we don't have the kind of mentality the whites have,
Where by their wife goes after wealth and gain 50% of a man's property

In Nigeria we have rooted culture that expects the wife to remain in the marriage and work together to support the husband and also contribute to the growth of the family

The Government of the foreign countries, has a way of training another man's child incase of nonsense Happenings and even adopt the child, their government cares for them too

But in Nigeria if the father fails the mother is not expected to fail too because those children are looking up to their parents
