I saw a news about some Anambra female innovators and I offered my two cents which i felt ought to be a post on it own. Here it is for your reading pleasure:

Sentiment aside, I felt under a good working government, Nigeria has all its takes to succeed provided we are ready to put aside ethnical differences. Nigeria is God's own plan. We have the human and material resources to control the world.

The Igbos are extremely talented and business oriented.

The Yorubas are known to produce academicians

The Hausas feed the nation.

All that's is left is a good government and a good mindset from we the governed.

We have to appreciate our uniqueness and diversity. Let's remember that our beauty lies in our diversity.

I come in peace.

I remain Opeyemi 'Chukwuma' Akanni - a typical Yoruba

You forget the biggest impediment in Nigeria: CORRUPTION!!!!

Here's how it works:
Besides public monies disappearung into private pockets, any improvement will be impeded by entrenched people who benefit from the status quo.
And it permeates ALL aspects of life in the country, from electricity to police to justice system, medical, schools, ALL aspects of life
Looking at all that, my sincere assessment is:
NIGERIA WILL NEVER IMPROVE MUCH.
NEVER!!

That was why I said the problem lies in the government and the governed. The government in terms of corruption and the governed in terms of been used as political tools in addition to our belief system. Just like what you expressed in your comment

It is more than "government and governed". The ENTIRE SYSTEM and PEOPLE within it have to be changed.
Which of course means getting rid of the country and starting a new country with new people. Which, of course, is impossible - which is why I concluded the country will never improve much
