Nigeria's new President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu has sympathized with Nigerians over the pains of the recent removal of fuel subsidy says he feels our pains.

If you recall vividly, the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Ahmed Tinubu had announced during his inaugural speech at his inauguration ceremony on May 29th that there will be removal of fuel subsidy in the country.

However, while addressing Nigeria on Monday in the Democracy Day, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu said his decision to remove fuel subsidy during his inauguration ceremony on May 29th was to save Nigeria from going under and take the country’s resources away from the stranglehold of a few unpatriotic elements adding that Nigerians should sacrifice more for the survival of the country.

According to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, he said, "I admitted that the decision will impose extra burden on the masses of our people. I feel your pain. This is one decision we must bear to save our country from going under and take our resources away from the stranglehold of a few unpatriotic elements.
