As far as Tinubu is the president of Nigeria, naira loosing value to dollar is a good thing for the country, it will make the poor masses double their hustle, think innovatively, seek for education and get used to suffering. Peradventure naira rises to #1000 per dollar it's also a good sign that the economy is getting stable (So far tinubu is still the president). This will bring Nigeria to a stage that economies of countries like USA, China, Japan,Germany, France, Russia and India, will be depending on Nigeria economy, as they will also be listening to President Tinubu speech before they make any policy concerning their economy. You all thought buhari was joking when he said Nigerians will miss him. Just dey play.

like i said tinubu wants a highly competitive and private sector economy just like usa. For the common man he needs social net like social security in usa. The economy doesnt care whether you can afford tv or buy a car. If you want to buy car, tv or anything you can go and collect loan from bank with interest. The economy cares that you can eat, pay rent, send your kids to school and get good hospital when you are sick. Anything on top of it is your headache.

That a one sided market is not a free market and has no bottom. This stupid move is threatening my projects

If Nigerians are bidding and buying forex from IE window on willing buyer willing seller model. There must also be a market where foreigners (forex holders) are bidding for naira on willing buyer and willing seller mode. Otherwise what you have is an unbalanced demand for forex by Nigerians only.


For you to have this, it means all oil companies including NNPC must sell Nigerian crude oil in naira not USD. Buyers of Nigeria crude must find a bank willing to sell them naira for USD to buy any export from Nigeria. This will also apply to other non oil exports. As long as CBN is collecting USD from oil and other export, they are joking calling what they just instituted a free market.

See how IMF is appluading their stupidity, as if they have our interest at heart. IMF only looks after OECD countries, most of which are in Europe and have no natural resources remaining or significant manufacturing. Any time they get you to devalue your currrency they benifit OECD countries who buy your resources cheaper.


If Tinubu wants free currency rate, then Nigeria's main export crude oil and others must be sold in naira. Forex inflows will go to banks in an unregulated manner wether through a central platform or other means. Banks will be the ones selling naira to exporters and recieving forex not CBN. CBN should
a only buy diverse ( not just USD) forex indirectly from banks and maintain just enough reserve for Emergencies not exceeding two years worth of imports. Thats how the people appluading this infantile economics run their system. Nobody exports anything from europe in any currency other than euro.
