slawomir: An obi-diot will always obi-diot. Of all the salient reasons adduced by the embassy, the only on you can dwell on is the situation in Nigeria. If Obi Pandora has the magic wand to turn things around why couldn't he do the same in Anambra where he governed for 8 years to the extent that many of you cannot even stay in the same state but to move to Lagos and other parts of the country Very shameless obi-diot 1 Like |

LordGuru1: You guys are stuck in the past. Alowolo was part those that went to war to bring Igbos and Aguiyi ironsi to their knees. Let's say because of what aguiyi did. With all his wisdom, even when South west wasn't that affected by war, why hasn't South west become the so-called competitor. Your tribe is living in denial. Alot of you thinks Nigeria starts and stop in Lagos. I am about to see how Tinubu will single handedly change core laws that made Nigeria a Nothern stooge. He still believes single handedly he can challenge all power that be. I am watching. |

Summary as stated. Weak institutions. For there is crime everywhere in the world but the above is the difference between nations. So anytime you as a citizen says, 'it doesn't matter that courts are disobeyed, it is the interest of the present government that matters'. So anytime you as a citizen says, 'it is the right of governor a or president b to have their way and ride over institutions'. So anytime you as a citizen says, 'I will vote that corrupt man as legislator, governor, party chairman or president'. Remember that the individuals you elevate over institutions will most likely be issued with diplomatic passports and moreso will never be considered as flight risks because the embassies know the country is their cash cow and proof of 'investment'. It is your interest as a citizen to cultivate and nurture your institutions. That is ALL THE POWER YOU HAVE AND WILL EVER HAVE. 3 Likes |

When you read a story starting with "an individual" and not the writer just know it's a scam story. Many of these stories are for traffic sake. |

The government, leaders, and the citizens here in Nigeria has contributed to this denial in foreign embassies. We blame the government for been corrupt here and there, what about the everyday YouTube, tiktok content creators that publicly publicize the routes in an awkward way of japa making it to be legitimate. I was bittered last week when I saw a poster on SM flying everywhere about a wayowayo Proof of Funds for japa route and boosting of bank accounts. We all want to publish everything on the media in this era and the Social media never forgets. The government has its own indecency but there is need to doubt even our fart in Nigeria when we as citizens don't learn the hard way to shut the Bleep up in exposing all japa ways in a bid to earn engagement. |

nlfpmod: Na today? Early 90s, a Nigerian paid a lump sum of money to a university in France for a Masters degree program. The embassy refused visa to the Nigerian. Excuse by French embassy was that it's hard to find a Nigerian who would pay such big amount of money to study in France. |

You stvpid people have really brought shame to Nigeria and they stated all these against you and you are still blaming Nigeria for being this cunning. Why can't you deny all the allegations levied against you. You knew they are all true but you choose to ignore them and blaming Nigeria. Na ogun go kill all of you. |

As sad as it is, Nigerians will begin to learn lessons soon. We have allowed our society to decay to the point where forgery, cheating, and malpractices are now accepted as normal. Don't blame the government for this (although they have a role to play in sanitising the public offices). We, the citizens, are the major problems. Recently I was complaining about the state of WAEC and NECO. Students now register exams, pay extra, and walk into exam halls with phones which they use without any objection from their teachers and external invigilators. A few people argued that it is okay to allow the students make their papers once. But the problem is that very soon, international schools will stop accepting WAEC due to forgery. When it happen, we'll blame the government, forgetting that both parents and teachers (schools) are complicit. Do you know how easy it is to forge documents in Nigeria? People from Niger Republic can walk into any northern state, register with NIMC, and proceed to register a Nigerian passport! It is so easy to get a court affidavit and use it to register another document. Similar things happen back south. You find it so easy to bribe officials and get fake documents to process other fake documents. Again, I am saddened by this rejection, but it is high time we fix our society by ourselves. You'll even find some evil people offering bribe to the underpaid staff in charge of some processes, making it difficult for them to say no. |

Abemy: Nigeria's political leaders painted Nigeria ugly. Nigeria's political leaders are sharing cheap cash from crude oil and therefore ignore the fact that diverse ethnic and religious groups are not meant to form one country. Europeans created Nigeria in Berlin Conference. But Europeans don't tolerate country of multi religious and multi ethnic groups in Europe. Because Europeans know that such countries flop. |
