But the Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Dr. Bosun Tijani, made it clear that the government borrowed $500 million to boost the economy.

These deviants in government should stop fooling themselves. No government can run without borrowing. An entire country cannot be as SENSELESS as the agbadorians.

That funding application was initiated since 2021 by Osinbajo.

It is not Bosun that initiated it. It is just similar to the world bank fund of $500m.

That is not borrowing because we are not paying interest on that money..it’s just a forward sale contract whereby the bank has bought some amount of oil in the future..
We are only going to supply it oil in future..

I don't know of any country in this world that does not borrow to augment it's internally generated revenues

what is the good development?

which work is tinubu working?

Edun said that with the increased revenue from subsidy removal, various palliatives have been made available to cushion its effect on a short, medium and long-term basis.

the government said it has removed subsidy on fuel to end borrowing but ended up borrowing to start another round of subsidy in the form of subsidy which is another form of loan to states. or is palliative not subsidy?

But dem no dey borrow bad debt.
Nobody is saying FG should not borrow
But what is the essence? What are they showing for it?

Wale Edun should not cajole us.

I don't think so.

Not when most of our earnings still come from oil, and not when oil prices fluctuate up and down.

Why do we always like to deceive ourselves in this nation. So, after FG has used NNPCL as a proxy recently to secure yet another $3.3billion. Maybe we should go and read the terms of the loan again to get us more enlightened. NNPCL borrow to stabilize naira. I've never heard of such an alliance a purported private company has with the govt on the most crucial matter to the government.

You can't fool all of us. I wonder which kind of country is this sef.
