Disturbing Images Of Abject Poverty by successmatters(m): 10:06pm On Sep 12, 2023
I was shocked to my bone marrows this afternoon, after I saw a trending video of a crowd of people openly stealing rice from a vehicle driving along a public road, in the full glare of everyone!

Mothers were stealing rice, with their children, fathers were openly stealing bags of rice, with their friends, people with religious attires even joined and were stealing rice without any fear?

Is this how bad this country has become?

One day people will be robbing people openly, whole communities could just turn to armed robbers, and people will be looking on and smiling?

Do you know that nobody will be arrested for stealing rice, even when video evidence is there. Do you know that of the driver of the bus stopped, the people could beat him to death, and steal his clothes and shoes.

Does it have anything to do with the location? Are there parts of this country that are so poor that open criminality could be supported, by elders and parents?

Can we save these people, the fact that they may have voted for their oppressors may not entirely be their fault, because some of them are obviously illiterates.

Let's face it, if we don't show compassion for these people, they will destroy themselves.

We must start to educate these people, to let them know that stealing is a sin, and a crime.

Yes, images like that made me understand that apart from the brickbats we fling on each other here, people on the ground are suffering, and that we need to save them, even as their people seem unconcerned. How can we save these people?

It really shook me, funny at first but when I watched the video again, I was moved to tears. How can humans descend to this shameful level? Where is our humanity?

Does it mean some governments have failed to the extent that empowerment drives and provision of basic care has become impossible? How do we choose our leaders?

That's their character in Ibadan. The city of rust and dust full of criminals including their women and children. Stealing in broad daylight.
A big shame to the shophisticated sons of the fallen demon.

We joke too much on this forum, to the point of losing our conscience, and our souls. People has now become zombies that care about nothing, just their naked support foe their candidates, and more people die.

If I didn't see this on video, I would doubt that this cannot happen in Nigeria, parents, parents, stealing openly with their children!

Do we just look and laugh, and forget about it till the next video pops up from another location, then we will laugh and point fingers, blame this or that person and then sweep the matter under the carpet?

After seeing the level of suffering, I am starting to feel sorry for humanity, are the children among them guilty of this tribalism? Can we not help the ones we can, even our holy books teaches forgiveness.

Unwarranted hatred leads to poverty. This is what is finishing the SW and they will never realize it till it is too late. The level of stagnancy there is too bad whereas their population is growing hence poverty becomes inevitable. If Ibadan is like this, then imagine how it will be in Oshogbo, Ikirun, Ado Ekiti and the other interior wasteland. The thing shock my dog no be small o. Me, I was never shocked... I know them well well.

I understand you, especially with the way they abuse everyone, even the ones who mean we'll. But we must show our good sides, I will help them if I have the chance. Just because of the love for humanity, as God commanded.

Well, I know them and understand their fear, and I still believe their feeling towards us is more of fear than hate. They have been misled to believe we are there to hurt them, cheat them or take what belongs to them. But the heart of most ofnus are that of brotherly love and tolerance. I only wish the enlightened ones among them will continue to speak out against hate. It hurts no other person than them.

Those little children I saw on the video are certainly not witches grin

They just didn't get good home training.

You're playing with your life if you're still showing this kind of compassion to them. These people wish genocide on us. It is the major reason behind the ethnic profiling they've been championing for ages against us. It is only right we withdraw any compassion towards them.
I can't even wish genocide on any ethnic group not even the fulanis that I hate but what I see from the Yorubas... God forbid. They deserve whatever punishment nature brings to them. People rejoicing over the pictures of starving children and mocking our women that were raped. God forbid.

You're right, and I think they are just misguided people. It's a pity. They really wish us bad, and I don't understand why. May God heal their hearts, and save them from this hate. πŸ™

To deny that things like this can't happen in any part of Nigeria is equivalent to stupidity.

You talk of hatred when you people stink of hatred yourselves.
Stop chest beating it wont save you. The southeast remains the least developed and poverty capital of Nigeria.

Since you lost an election, all you do is sleep and wake up with hate and searching for videos to proof that there is hardship in Southwest and console yourselves as if your region is not worse.

A video of Enugu youths struggling to enter night bus to same southwest but you won't see that. You people dont want peace and we just started with you people. We won't pretend to like you when you hate us. And yes we hate you, do your worst.

You will forever remain a pained loser
