What's happening is only natural. In the coming decades or maybe centuries, I believe most religions will naturally fizzle out. Religions were held together through a combination of coercion, threats, violence etc, not reason. But unfortunately, the world is now a very small place as a result of technological advancements and civil liberties. It's now difficult to sway the younger generation's thoughts like in the past. They'll rather reason logically using available facts instead of centuries-old fables.

However what you must admit is that at least we scientists are sensible enough to review our dogma every now and then and make adjustments in the face of superior argument or new evidence. But religious people generally accept their dogma as fact without question.

For you to have agreed with that saying Newton Law is fundamental to Quantum mechanics proves you are still living in 60s not in this modern world. What's fundamental in the first case? Is what you should ask yourself. Fundamentals in Physics deal with the study of BASIC properties, forces and materials of our universe. The chapter is clearly talking about the invasion of a place called Nineveh and not a prophecy about Ferraris. Is Nahum 2:4 evidence of your god's goodness? He just said chariots are about to come destroy everyone!!! Chariots that look like ferraris because torches= headlamps. If god showed him a vision of chariots that moved as fast as Aston Martins, he could have also told him that those torches would be called "headlamps" and that the carriages would be called Horseless Carriages and over time will be known as Cars/
