The Wright brothers proved beyond doubt that your god doesn't reside in the clouds. The Tower of Babel story, Elijah riding his fiery ferrari into the skies and jesus ascending into the skies imply that your god lives in the skies. Growing up as the quintessential bible literalist, the Tower of Babel story convinced me that the people who came up with that story and the rest of the bible were probably on heroin.

God massacred a lot more people as a % of the whole population in the old testament than those your have mentioned plus the Catholic Hilter. And many highly religious dictators like Bokasa.

Ok, communists are atheists but not all atheists are communists. Communism is not a religion either but if you want to cry about communist ideology resulting in mass murder, go find you a communist. I don't think Teslim is a communist and no atheist on here as ever claimed to be a communist.

Most christians don't listen to Harold Camping just like most atheists don't follow the ideology of Karl Marx (unless the happen to be communists).

People (not just Christians) are becoming more enlightened and are beginning to question the anomalies of their religion. They more the probe, the more doubtful it is. Instead of getting satisfactory reasonable answers, they are rebuked and scoffed at by their fellow religious folks and clerics. They begin to see how vague,bogus and contradictory their religion is. With time, the lose their belief in supernatural imaginary deities/religion.
