People have had it worse, move to an industrial area, apply for jobs via indeed, look for jobs within your area, with time you would look back at this moment and smile

50% of nigerians are fighting depression.. Don't give up you're not the only one..

I think you should start your own business. No matter how little it is.

You ought to have attached yourself to a private secondary school or offering lessons since then and be teaching science subjects.

I have a friend who has his degree in Mechanical Engineering and no job, I encouraged him to look into offering lessons. He started offering tutorials in Maths and Physics, parents were paying well just as he was getting referrals from them, some parents living in an Estate group their 5-6 kids together and the tutorial is done in one of their homes, taking them twice a week from 4-p.m to 7p.m, while he takes those who have already finished secondary school in the mornings. His Monday to Saturday are completely filled up as he is comfortably taking care of his wife and children through this hustle because those parents are seeing their children doing better in those subjects.

As the saying goes life is not fair to some extent i think there is a little bit of truth in it, however that is not the end it all it is just a phase, with time definitely you will overcome it.

Look within sir. You are wrong for saying if you kill your self, God would understand. No, we are not permitted to kill ourselves. If you do so, you'll end up in hell fire.
Life can be difficult atimes but you keep trying with prayer, you will make it.
Drop your ego. Be willing to do anything not minding what people will say.
Just as someone suggest, Try teaching in the morning, try learning a skill in the afternoon after closing from school.
Skills like phone repairs, mending shoes, electricians, plumbing, driving etc
There's money in phone repairs and shoe mending if you are in a strategic place. At least, you'll feed your family comfortably.
What is your wife doing, go get space in motor parks, start doing something, you'll get loose cash daily untill you are financially statble then you can quit.

And what do you expect nairalanders to do with your ranting as if you're the only one depressed in the whole of Africa? A lot of people are going through a lot out there, even I'm going through a lot, but I've learned to face my problems head-on and take responsibility for my actions.

I can't bring a baby into this world with a struggling bank account, but you decided to make your own bed when you rushed into marriage and had a child before being finally successful, isn't this witchcraft Now you want other people to take responsibility for your irrational decisions.

You're still gonna cry some more because I'm very sure that already you're planning on having a second child with your wife.

You don`t have to explain yourself to anyone. And please don`t end your life. Your family needs you. And they love you.

Better days will come. I wish you a little optimism.

That's why it's very important to have a savings account for the rainy days before you can even consider marriage.

And you must also have a plan B of what you'll do if things don't go as planned.

You're right, as you see me like this i don't make my problem known to anybody even offline unless i trust you, why? Because it might turn to insult.

At least now you get where I'm coming from.

With your child, it's understandable because it wasn't planned... But marriage is something that you have to sit down and plan... You must prepare yourself for the unexpected and be ready to face whatever challenge comes your way.

I have a relative like that... He lost his job back in 2020 and spent a year and about nine months without a job, but because he and his wife had a savings account which they've been saving some money for years, they relied on it during the lockdown until he finally got a job last year and his wife also resumed work when the lockdown was lifted.

You wouldn't even know that the husband had lost his job.

Does your wife work? Do you at least contribute to the upkeep of your home by doing chores? An idle mind is the devils workshop. Even such things as doing chores in the house regularly and even spending additional time with your kid, or even gardening on the side, while you wait and hope for a job, will make a whole lot of difference to your mind.

"Two heads are better than one," they say and when those two heads work together as a team especially when times are hard, they are bound to fare better than those who are alone in it all.

I hate guys like you that complain and do nothing

I bet it's your wife that's feeding you and doing most of the expenses


Man up, look for construction site and work


Save some money from that work and start a fruit business


Little by little you start coming up the ladder

Keep pushing. Try as many legal things you can do to succeed. You could also try to gain some data skills it might be of great help.
