TOPIC: THE NECESSITY OF VISION.

SCRIPTURE: And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. HABAKKUK 2:2.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: The vision of today is the reality of tomorrow.

It has been confirmed that vision is key to an enviable existence. Vision is necessary for an impactful existence. One reason why people live impactless lives is the lack of vision.

In our study today, we shall be looking at the necessity of vision.

The question is: why is vision necessary in life?
Vision is necessary for the following reasons:

i. What you define determines what you can discover.
What you can define determines what you can find. This means, if you don’t know what you want, you wouldn’t know it when you see it.
ii. The road you choose determines the place you end.
You cannot choose the wrong road and end at the right place. Neither can you choose the right road and end at the wrong place.
iii. A life that is left to chance has no chance.
When you leave your life to chance, and you have not defined what you want in life, you have no chance in life.
iv. Divine function happens at the frequency of human vision.
What man sees determines what God gives (Genesis 13:15). If God will give it, man must see it.
v. The vision of today is the reality of tomorrow and the reality of today was determined by the vision of yesterday.

The truth is, to begin with vision is to end with reality. My counsel for you today is to refuse to exist without vision.

Beloved, God shall give you a vision in this season that will become a reality and manifestation before the end of this year, in Jesus’ Name.

REMEMBER THIS: The vision of today is the reality of tomorrow.

ASSIGNMENTS:
1. Ask God to give you the right vision for living.
2. Make demands on the Help of God to make those visions realities.

PRAYER: Lord, help me to continuously align my life and vision with Your Will. I receive the grace to fulfill your plan and purpose for my life, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

EPHESIANS 6:18-24 (KJV)


"18. Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

19. And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel,

20. For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.

21. But that ye also may know my affairs, and how I do, Tychicus, a beloved brother and faithful minister in the Lord, shall make known to you all things:

22. Whom I have sent unto you for the same purpose, that ye might know our affairs, and that he might comfort your hearts.

Stressing the need to pray for missionaries, Edward McKendree Bounds says, _*“Talking to men for God is a great thing, but talking to God for men is greater still.”*_


It is easy to pray for your spouse, children, and work so you can pay all the bills on time. But what about prayers for missionaries? How do you pray for people you have probably never met, and who are doing the work you cannot relate to in a foreign land?


Indeed, there are some Christian youths who want to pray for missionaries but they usually forget or have no clue as to what to pray about. Get fired up on praying for missionaries today!

* T. L. Osborn and his wife evangelized in India,
* David Livingstone, South Africa and
* Mary Slessor, Nigeria.


Find out where your Church’s missionaries are and pray for them.


Missionaries’ needs include: funds, human resources, machines, preaching permits, language barrier, security and health. As we pray for our present day missionaries, there will be breakthroughs.
