Wrong interpretation of the bible that has been handed down and swallowed whole without anyone carefully looking at the context from which the statement was made has allowed the confusion to remain for too long.

Go back to the passage and read it again with the consideration of what made Jesus make the statement them you'll get your answer.

The short and summary answer is that the sin that can't be forgiven is the sin of unbelief. It's the only thing that takes people to hell. So many other bible portions also confirm this. I'll highlight a few.

As per the passage, the usual antagonists of Jesus saw all his works (signs and wonders) which is actually performed by the power of the Holy Spirit and were meant to make them believe in Jesus that he is the Messiah, but they refused to believe, instead they attributed those works of the Holy Spirit to Beelzebub. This is what led to Jesus making the statement. So you can see that obviously it is the sin of unbelief that is the sin against the Holy Spirit and its the only sin that takes people to hell.

Have you considered the story of Saul who became Apostle Paul? (Act 9). He chose his path, yet God saved him by the multitude of his tender mercy (Psalm51:1)

Abba Father seeks for those who will intercede for this people who have chosen the wrong path (Ezekiel 22:30).

That is what it means to make a choice. Do you beg a babe to still follow you after she has chosen another guy over you and has even declared to the whole world that she shall never ever be with you?

It's rare to sin against the Holy Spirit because to do so the sinner must render his or her God's given conscience dead.
This is what sinning against God's Holy Spirit means:
You can't see God face to face but you can see His active force in action so when the first century Jewish disciples of Christ got baptized with God's Holy Spirit people in Jerusalem saw them and felt they're drunkards those saying this are sinning against humans because what the disciples were doing that day is not natural therefore anyone that speaks abusively about them did so not against the spirit of God.
But after Peter has reminded the Jews present at that event of what God said about pouring out His Spirit on Jews and the vivid evidence of it's fulfilment whoever among the Jews that will continue speaking bad about that event is no longer sinning against those involved but against God's Holy Spirit that's operating on those disciples of Christ.

'Is condemned already" does mean "impossible to be forgiven"

And the bible has clearly shown that blasphemy and great disobedience to God (Re king saul) and whatever Esau did and attempts to deceive God (Re Ananiais and Saphy) are examples impossible to be forgiven.
