The historian who first came out with such a fallcious statement was our very own benin historian with the name Dr egharevba who had several imaginative writeups in his earliest historical works of friction, at this time the edo people was still in the western region. he wrote against the benin people to promote his carrer in the western region the benin people had found themselves although is father was a benin man his mom too was a yoruba woman from ondo state, he wrote with no authority and was not even close to the palace, his works lack referencing other than just selfish intrest his later works were he corrected most of this notion, was not made circular by the yorubas that took his baseless works serious never the less frank willet a french historian did an excavation on the very orun oba ado site in 1969 hoping to find some truth in what yoruba belive to be an historical site, all nine site the excavation took place in nothing happened to be have found in them ascertain to the earliest work of dr
Egharevba as works of friction

You guys aren't serious.
You all can debunk the genuine history as you liked. But know this & know peace, all of you in Benin ll need Yorubas one day & you ll be disregarded. Lastly, Lagos wasn't founded by Benins. Ashipa that brought Benin influence there and became their first king is an Awori man. His name is a titled chief in Yorubaland and there's no Ashipa title or origin name in Benin. If it's existing, tell us the meaning.
More so, lineage of Ashipa ruling Lagos ended with Kosoko in the 1800s. You mofos should stay clear of Lagos.
When you need Yorubas, you all ll be reminded of how unruly you are after Yoruba culture influenced Benin positively. Names, words, kingship etc.
So all Benin trash can getat!

The Ashipa of Oyo is one of the Oyo kingmakers, There is a whole district called Ashipa in Oyo

The Ashipa of Isheri was the first Oba of Lagos

Beuberry:
Truth. Why are Benins so hurt?
What's the big deal if Oranyan was their first king.
By the way Obagodo of Ile ife founded Igodomigodo Kingdom which is now Benin and also founded the Ogiso dynasty

I suspect the preferred profession of the Women has been giving some of them a Serious inferiority Complex
I am just speculating
And those women are very loud about their activities

But if they come together to really fight those carrying their women abroad for that nonsense they can get results
I think the people of Northern Edo have already made a big Change

The Oba should be fighting all the Cults exploiting and degrading Edo Women and Children

Every kingdom worth anything fights to protect it's women and Children first

They need to do more to protect their women and Children first
