Igala origin in Owo? Lol. Ayegba Abdullahi is a notorious and discredited liar on Facebook sha. He has been claiming that the Afro-Brazilians of Yoruba descent are Igala. Anything he says should be taken with a giant pinch of salt.

Some Benin blood in Owo is easily conceivable as there was intensive contact and exchange between both kingdoms, but Igala no dey that equation.

Owo has not been defeated since the time of Oduduwa

Even the Benin will never Claim they defeated Owo

Neither did Oyo or Ibadan defeat them

Owo means Honour
Everyone just leave them alone by giving them their honor

Their head strong pass Rock

Owo is Yorubaland but was used as a trading focal point by Edos in the centuries back just like they did in other Yoruba towns such as Akure, Igbara Oke, Ikere-Ekiti, etc. The Ado Akure quarters exists till today and had the highest number of Bini-Edo traders in Yorubaland from centuries back.

The Yorubas also had large trading communities in the Benin Empire centuries back so there was interaction like you said.
There is even an Odion of Owo and Odion is of Bini-Edo origin.

If he had mentioned Itsekiriland, yes, there was a small Igala immigration into the Itsekiri area but the largest ancestry of Itsekiris was of Ilaje, Ijebu, Ife, and the Edo migrants from the time of Prince Gimuwa's arrival (in the Ijebu settlement of Ode Itsekiri with Chief Lenuwa as the community leader) with 70 of his aides from Benin on exile, and his reign as Olu from 1480 to 1510.

His mother was a Yoruba woman from Ife (Ufe) and she was married to the then Oba of Benin who was Ginuwas father. and Ginuwa was the eldest son of Oba Olua, the 14th Oba of Benin.
