TOPIC: What Happens When You Give To A King?

Matthew 2:11‬‬
And when they had come into the house, they saw the young Child with Mary His mother, and fell down and worshiped Him. And when they had opened their treasures, they presented gifts to Him: gold, frankincense, and myrrh.

*Message*

When you give to a King, you make him obligated to outgive you. This is a kingdom principle that even the ancient earthly kingdoms understood. We saw this in the case of the Queen of Sheba and Solomon. She gave huge gifts to Solomon, which naturally placed pressure on Solomon to prove that he is a superior king, by giving her more (and which he did).

*GOD is the KING of kings. When we (who are kings in the Kingdom) give Him gifts, He is obligated to show that He is a superior KING by giving us much more than we gave Him.*

Hence, cultivate the good habit of giving God quality gifts. The gift reveals the value and worth you put on the king. Give Him your time, money, talents, everything.

*"Give, and it shall be given unto you, good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you" Luke 6:38.*

The more the quality of your gifts to GOD, the more you can expect from Him. Remember, giving to a king acknowledges his ownership of everything.

LORD, help me to be a doer of the things I've seen this morning from your Word.
