The way and manner Oba Elegusi of Ikateland is being dragged on various social media platforms by bloggers home snd abroad, friends and associates of late popular and promising singer, Mohbad over the paternity of Mohbad’s son, Liam and the circumstances surrounding Mohbad’s death is becoming worrisome to the traditional and royal institution.

Wunmi, late Mohbad’s wife and Liam’s mother, was alleged to have had a romantic relationship with Oba Elegusi, which eventually resulted in the birth of Liam.

According to the news being circulated on social media networks, Wunmi allegedly gave the child to late Mohbad, which eventually caused domestic fracas between her and Mohbad.

Consequent upon the refusal of Wunmi to agree to a DNA test to determine the paternity of Mohbad’s son Liam, social media platforms have been agog with news of Oba Elegusi fathering Liam. The way and manner by which he has been insulted, disgraced, denigrated, and whitewashed daily on social media is an embarrassment to the traditional and royal institution.

Regrettably, despite the furore that has been generated from the public outcry, alleging him to be the real father of Liam and the killer of Mohbad over the disputed child, Oba Elegusi hasn't deemed it necessary to either debunk, disassociate and distance himself from the allegation of being the biological father of Mohbad’s son Liam.

We are the custodians of the traditional and royal institutions, and the exalted position of the traditional remains SACRED. Under no circumstances should we allow anyone or groups to denigrate and rubbish the royal institution and our inheritance.

Therefore, we are using this medium to call on Oba Ademola Elegusi, or his attorney representative to come out and make a categorical statement on the issue.
This is the only way by which he can safeguard the sanctity of the Royal values in Yorubaland.

Furthermore, we call of the eminent traditional rulers, Lagos state council of Obas, Yoruba Heritage forum under the leadership of Ooni of Ife Adeyeye Babatunde Ogunwusi to intervene quickly on the matter before the royal and traditional institution is continuing to be disgraced and rubbished more than extend by those who are alleging Oba Elegusi as the masterminds of the gruesome murder of late Mohbad.
