I made payment to this moniepoint account numbe: 6470494777
Account name - Abdulmalik Muhammed.
Transaction ID- 00000124040817044

I paid for some goods he advertised on FB marketplace and I asked our rider to meet up with him b4 I make payment.

I think my rider already called him that he's on his way.

Few hours, Next thing he called me to say rider waas there.

He gave his phone to the rider and the said he was from the logistics company. He even mentioned the company's name - Endurance Logistics in Abuja.

Okay, I called the company to confirm if their rider is at the pickup location but the company number was not responding after like 45mins passed.

The company later called back to say their rider is calling the supplier by he's number is not going.

Before then me I've sent the money already.

I feel so bad because this is 300k I borrowed to start a new business. Now it's gone down the drains.

Date of transaction: 8th April 2024

Can anything be done about it or do I count my L? And move on? I feel so down and angry for not being patient enough with the recommended supplier I have.

SHe was taking hours to respond to calls and messages and I had lots of pending customers.

I need help with tracking the account.
I feel so down mehn

Ah! Boss. You were too fast to send payment. It would have been when you have confirmed that the rider is with the seller before you send payment to the seller to release your goods.Sorry for the loss. .. Keep pleading with the seller if he will change his mind.

Don't you know what is called escrow ?

Even if you are not familiar with escrow, how about sending the money to the delivery company to make payment themselves after the delivery man has picked up the package?

You goofed real bad, u didn't act smart at all.

I am thinking.. the thief's price offer was mouthwatering and you were in a hurry to pay in order not to lose the deal. That is always the bait they use..

He must have indirectly ask you to tell him the name of the Logistics company so that he would be able to identify him when he comes.. then you left your guard down. You have to be 100% alert when dealing with a total stranger on the other end for business dealings.. Don't trust anyone till they earn it..

And why do you have to use a rider for a business dealing worth 300k.. why can't you go get it yourself or have them bring the items to you first with their own rider. You are the one with the money, you should set this conditions not the other way round..

I hope you have learnt a lesson or two tho.. sorry!!

You'll need a court order and need to visit your bank to do anything about it.

You may choose to report the transaction as one made in error and ask bank to reverse it then try to get an order for PND (post no debit) to be placed on the seller's acct.

Go to a lawyer in Abuja for detailed guidance on the matter

It's not worth the stress. 300k access bank can give me using a short code dial without even having to visit a branch. I will try but if I lose money I go make am again. Something CBN can wake up one morning and print over a trillion more from thin air. That's what I should kill myself over? I'll try my best.

Physical goods. Not coins. 35pcs of smart Watch. He offered for a low price of 8k per piece. Plus one for 17k.

I was thinking this is the reason we have NIN and pay taxes. But if I report this to any police station, or court I'll be taxed even more for opening case and mobilisation etc (even while being a taxpayer)

But if my car papers expire the traffic cops won't accommodate any excuses. If dem catch you dem no go hear sorry.
