Exactly what happened to me during my first time in ABU Zaria in 2013. The Imam felt so much pity for me that he was willing to take me to his room in the hostel to go and pass the night even knowing fully well I was a Christian then. Here is one of the reason. Most churches have assets worth millions in their abode compared to a mosque where they have just a megaphone. Secondly, many 419 approach churches to lie to them and obtain money. To this effect churches have taken steps to prevent their assets that can be easily cart away. You don't know who is surveying. It is not enough to come and say you are a pastor when your identity cannot be confirmed.

In terms of harmony and accomodations, Muslim in North are far better than Igbo Christain but when it comes to religion fanatics, Northern Muslims are worse, Igbo fanaticsm only end on social media

It's very wrong to judge a case without knowing the full details. In fact, the headline made it look like many Christians rejected him, whereas the content showed it was just a random Church location. The supposed hosts must have learnt bitter lessons from being carefree.

I remember the story of one RCCG Church that hosted a stranger for some days. The stranger ended up robbing the Church Accountant of the offerings and he almost lost his life, but for providence. This was after they had taken good care of the stranger and even made monetary provisions for him. That's life!

Even if we're to look at it literally, there's almost nothing to steal in a mosque as compared to a church where you have flat screen TVs, video cameras and other expensive stuffs. You can choose to accommodate a stranded person inside to sleep and by dawn you'd discover that you've been robbed.

This has happened to my church in my state. The pastor accommodated a man to pass the night and by morning he drained all the diesel worth thousands from the mikano plant and escaped. How he did it, we don't know. Would you expect the pastor to repeat such carelessness a second time...of course not.
