Well, looks like you don't want to believe the experts.

Okay, enjoy your knowledge or lack thereof.

You guys don't want anything that challenges your belief, meanwhile siccesive government have been forcing the power sector to charge below production cost meaning they run at a loss.

And you expect magic in these circumstances

Good afternoon. You don't want to believe industry experts and stakeholders, no wonder.

Industry experts ko, stakeholders ni.
Na em Naija dey in darkness.
I'm done replying a man who believes in the propaganda of "experts and stakeholders" that have been unable to provide AT LEAST 12hrs/day electricity nationwide to Nigerians, devalued our Naira & pushing up fuel price to N1200/Ltr.
Our IQ no be thesame.

Good Night!

Oga, on a more serious note, you should not be happy in your ignorance

I advise you, and I am not here to abuse you or to be condescending to you, to read the following

1. Solving the liquidity crunch in the power sector

2.Cost reflective tarrif is key panacea

These are people who know what is going on.

FYI, I am not here to defend any government. My eyes were opened to this thing in 2013, when I tried to understand why the then government was breaking up PHCN Into discos and gencos. And I got my eyes opened to a lot of things, and to why the power sector is bad. What you see here is ten years worth of reading...

Ye can be in denial, blame everything, but the truth is, we don't want to pay the power sector the market price for power. That is why we don't have power 24/7

Ye can abuse me, call me tinubu mumu, call me apc supporter (hell, i WOKE UP to the problem before APC was formed), but at the end, we got a problem, and it isn't tribe...just that we think we can have cheap power. It's a mirage.

Which fault? A company that self-generates power and has been consistent. I'm talking about top quality gas turbine.
Is it only one turbine engine that dy have..and besides it’s easier to manage load within an organization than the entire Nigeria..
You don’t know what one person in sokoto will put on that will crash the grid!!..it’s difficult except generation is more than enough

inside this nigeria?
NeckingNgulping:
Since, i started working in 2020, i haven't seen a single power outage at the company where i work. I mean 365 days x 4.

National assembly can't keep electricity for the few hours of meaningless gathering.

Shame.

Nigeria's demand is even over 20000mw self. DISCOS put it at 33000 which would give everyone on the grid 24 hours a day light. It's far more to connect EVERYONE to the grid for 24 hour power.

Kainji was supplying most of Nigeria back when majority of rural areas had no electricity. Probably just a few cities.

(1). I don't click/read Articles based on propaganda.

(2). You claim your eyes opened to a Problem in 2013, nigga thats 11yrs ago. Why haven't these "experts" provided solutions to it despite the Billions being allocated to power on our national budget annually ?

(3.) I haven't called you names since i started mentioning you. All the names you called yourself up there, i guess that's because you know yourself better.

Once again, GOOD NIGHT!

I doubt that NESI and the company PwC write propaganda for the government.

(2). You claim your eyes opened to a Problem in 2013, nigga thats 11yrs ago. Why haven't these "experts" provided solutions to it despite the Billions allocated to power on our annual national budget?

They have, it's called cost reflective tarrif

Plus spending billions does not mean it is enough. As has been said by independent and government sources, we need soemthing like 10 billion dollars US yearly for 10 years, before we can have good power supply. The billions we have spent haven't come close to it.

But the government does not want to implement cost reflective tarrif. It does not win votes. Even the one they did, note they did it for the top 20% not everyone.

Pathetic when governments sacrifice good economic decisions on the platifrm of reelection.(I really don't vote for APC or PDP by the bye.).
(3.) I haven't called you names since i started mentioning you. All the names you called yourself up there, i guess that's because you know yourself better.

Well, you implied I was a propagandaist.

Plus, anytime I promote the message, the default mode among nairalanders is 'HE'S DOING PROPAGANDA

Well, I did give you the experts view, but since all experts are government shills, and YOU know everything there is to know, I can;t bother you much.'.
Once again, GOOD NIGHT!

Once again power supply has nothing to do with tribe, and everything to do with lack of cost reflective tarrif.

Election is sowing time for politicians while governance is reaping time. When they were sowing no complaints people were busy mortgaging their destiny. Election should have been judgement time for terrible politicians but became harvest time for elites and the poor among us.

These grossly clueless, incompetent and directionless people under a man with well known many criminal past really understand the docility of their citizens. The irony depicting the state of power and energy under his reigns in Nigeria today. Useless incompetent buffon.
