Something serious happened after the brewery investment in Anambra state. Anambra revenue increased, the state as top shareholders are getting revenue from profits, Anambra supplied many workers, traders and drinkers got beer cheap and did good business. This didn't sit well with people who are losing market share and profits from NBL.

Plus the paid piper who is doing mouth service for them

Reno has to be bitter about that success of Peter Obi.

Look, if Onitsha wants to be like Lagos, create a CBD to start with.

A central business district.

Throw up a couple of skyscrapers there. Encourage other businesses to follow suit with highrises for office blocks and residential.

A CBD is a statement of intent to investors that you are ready to do high level business.

Get two world class hotel chains to set up 4 or 5 star hotels. Make sure the CBD is neat with sidewalks, no open gutters, and no sand on the roads.

Rinse and repeat in other parts of the city, and in a few years you will be competing with Abuja and Lagos.
