Why would you want to deviate from a religion You were born into to another one?

Ofcourse, u can change to another religion if you are really sure and convinced of its genuinity.In life we live to make discoveries as we make research about the things of life.Even the religion you find yourself or you are born into need to prove itself enough to convince you in order not to regret in eternity.

Because life isn't static.

Why not, as you grow older, your mind becomes more independent. People are actually 'forced' into certain religions from socialisation but one gets to an age where they have to make THEIR own decisions. You can kidnap a child by luring him/her with a lollipop(literarilly) but definately not an adult. As we grow older, we are able to understand the pros and cons of everything in life that surrounds us, and have the freedom to make our own decisions and be accountable for them, the true definition of responsibility.

you were born there doesn't necessarily mean you must die there!! if as you grow older, you decide to do some soul searching and you realise that your convictions seem different from that of where you were born, what stops you from leaving?

so ladapo, why wouldn't you want to deviate froma religion you were born to one you have experienced?
