@Moremi2008, Nigerians and Nigeria don suffer by those comments. You hit the nail man. Anyway Nigeria has the highest number of churches in the world with 98% of its entire congregation just mere bench warmers. Pastors not left out. |

I think Nigeria contributes a lot, most especially, in peace keeping. It also provides energy, Agricultural produce, human resources, etc which are added advantages to the daily lives of keeping the earth moving. On a side note, every country has it own problems which it contributes to the world and Nigeria is not exempted - that shouldn't be a yard stick to look at things in this regard. Nigeria is the world 41 largest economy, it means it is definitely contributing something good! |

@posters - Please remember to note the percentage of Nigerians doing negative things compared to those doing positive things - it seems unfair that we have so much imbalance |

@onila. you are one person that i have come to like on this forum due to your responds to issues. for a country to move forward, it people must first come to term with who they are. most of the countries that people do compare with Nigeria are no way better or even near Nigeria, yet you hardly see them rain insult on their own country like we Nigerians do. |

shymmex: what is funny, is Nigeria the only country that does all that America is far worse even to cannibalism |
Re: What Does Nigeria Contribute To The World? by Nobody: 7:12pm On Feb 06, 2012 |
@alj harem Nigeria has potentials no doubt - but everything I listed is what I see on foreign news every day, Did you see Christian roasting and eating muslims in Jos Sad video but it was funny as hell, One of the Christian youth was asking for the dead man's heart, Till Nigerians are ready to fight the power, the Country will continue to be messed up, The poster @GenBuhari has already posted a topic on nairaland about Nigerian history - and that guy Babinga single handedly destroyed Nigeria, During his time inflation went from 3.2% to 54%, And if there's anyone those Christian youths in Jos should be roasting and eating, it should be Babangida |

America is far worse even to cannibalism I'm not Amerikkkan, I don't live there and I could care less about the Country, America does the worst of the worst things everywhere - they do more than cannibalism, They commit genocide, destruction - I mean the worst of the worst crimes against humanity, F/u/c/k that Country - I could care less about them |
Re: What Does Nigeria Contribute To The World? by efisher(m): 7:17pm On Feb 06, 2012 |
@ shymmex, make no mistake about it. Those cannibals are NOT christians. There is only 1 definition of Christians and they don't fit the profile. Even they themselves know they are not christians. Get it right. |

Ezeagu na million dollar question you've asked and according to UN, a very very little percentage. If Nigeria cease to exist today, the world would not miss us especially if another country discovers oil about the same amount as Nigerian oil in their country |

Re: What Does Nigeria Contribute To The World? by OneNaira6: 8:00pm On Feb 06, 2012 |
damola1: You misread me. I meant without Nigeria, the impact on the world would probably be around 0-1% thus nobody would not miss us or even care if its non-existent as oppose to nation such as North American nations, China/Japan, European nations excluding East Europe, Isreal, and to some extent some South American cease to exist today, yes the world will move on but it will have an impact on the world immensely. |

Princek12: African immigrants to the U.S. are among the most educated groups in the United States. Some 48.9 percent of all African immigrants hold a college diploma. This is more than double the rate of native-born white Americans, and nearly four times the rate of native-born African Americans.[13] In 1997, 19.4 percent of all adult African immigrants in the United States held a graduate degree, compared to 8.1 percent of adult white Americans and 3.8 percent of adult black Americans in the United States, respectively. [14] Of the African-born population in the United States age 25 and older, 87.9% reported having a high school degree or higher,[15] compared with 78.8% of Asian-born immigrants and 76.8% of European-born immigrants, respectively.[16] Africans from Nigeria (89.1 percent), Ghana (85.9 percent), Botswana (84.7 percent), and Malawi (83 percent) were the most likely to report having a high school degree or higher. Those born in Cape Verde (44.8 percent) and Mauritania (60.8 percent) were the least likely to report having completed a high school education.[17] http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/African_immigration_to_the_United_States |

defendingtriotic. Sometimes my patriotism gets the best of and I find myself blindly definding Nigeria, especially when the topic of her poor state of affairs is brought up. Nigeria does contribute a lot to the world, I mean how can it not. I cant think of anything positive at the moment. I'msure if I ponder some more on this issue, Ill come up with something. For now the facts continue to elude me. |
