I wish d 3g network can b as good as glo 3g in my area. D zain's 3g no just stable at alllll.
Nice one sha. Now i av a back up internet plan for the next one month.

Bluestream: Hello Tumajay...kindly advise...I have a factory unlocked 4s...running iOS 5.1 on an MTN sim...I have tried activating the hotspot function by entering the APN and all...it still says I need to contact the carrier....how do people get it to work? i think that to enable the personal hotspot thingy, it has

to be supported by MTN. Maybe and just maybe you edit the IPCC file

to support tethering?? or restore your phone with the MTN sim card inside.

Since d phone is factory unlocked, it's just a simple step u are missing. Its tricky to get personal hotspot working immediately on mtn,airtel and etisalat because u can start browsing without setting any apn under settings.

The last steps u are missing are as follows.

1.go to settings-general-network-cellular data network.
2.make sure u fill exactly d same info under "cellular data" and "internet tethering".
3. go back to network, toggle cellular data on/off u will see personal hotspot trying to activate. if u av internet plan, personal hotspot turns to OFF.

i hope it works.

what i mean by the bolded statement is dat if u av an active plan, d hotspot will activate but will b in d OFF state,u wont see "set up personal hotspot" again. so u just av to turn it ON

mafiacent: The 1200 stuff is also wat I use on Airtel, every Blackberry code works for me sha, d only issue is that it has mb limit, and if d mb should finish b4 d expiry date of the package, u might av to wait till d package expires b4 renewal(although there is also a way around this) SMS bsm to 440

Well...did it just like preescribed...simply doesnt work...still pops up the 'contact carrier to enable hotspot for this account' dialogue after a while...sad.

For instance I copy a movie 500mb after to an available space of 910mb
Space available afta this is 410mb...
When am through wit d movie & delete it... I don't get my 910mb back instead I get something like 450mb
