which way ndigbo. We already know that our leaders are sellouts. They don't seem to care about Igboland but their respective pockets. The only catalyst for change in Igboland is an Igbo presidency. He will correct all the wrongs that have been done ndigbo since the civil war. Jonathan is just playing politics with the Niger bridge and the dredging of the river niger. He's waiting for the end of his first term so that he can do it halfway and ask for our votes so that it can be completed fully. We need to take our destiny into our own hands.

Was searching for that elusive track by Celestine Ukwu, and came across this. Listening to it, i had to concentrate to understand what was being said- the dialect seems to be Imo/Abia: am i wrong anyone undecided?

As far as i'm concerned the best Igbo music was made just after the civil war, and will be evergreen and everlasting in our lifes.

Does anyone remember the song, and what memories does it bring back for you?

This song reminds me of the new masquerade and the late Gringori. It is a pity such a talent died at the same time Ojukwu was being buried and as a result, lost the publicity he required.

What sentiments does this beautiful Igbo gospel song evoke in you?

It reminds me of my childhood; a time in ones life when you're so carefree and the only problems you had were doing the homework and chores your teacher and mum gave you, failing which there'll be hell to pay (esp' at school angry).

It's also one of those songs that captures the spirit of the Igbo nation in its every beat and word....something Joe Nez and Celestine Ukwu do very well.

ndu_chucks:

Onitsha is dying because of bad governance and state government's misplaced priorities. It is with the same kind of irresponsibility that you believe that an Airport is more inportant than urgent issues of survival and public health. You and the other incompetent fools running the state should make resolving the issues depicted below as your number one priority:

Another disgraceful issue

Eze Olodo, would you feel comfortable eating food bought at the market?

Airport ko, bird hanger ni.

These pictures are over ten years old and these places has been cleared and tarred. Next!

Onlytruth:

Don't worry bros, Onitsha has a spirit that can never die.
We don't have a good Governor in Peter Obi, else the only thing Onitsha needs is tarring of roads. That's all.
Obi can't even do that. Shame on the dude.

Anyway I think that SE marginalization is part of the problem. But we should be happy that we have Asaba too. So, no shaking. cool

i have being following this thread with keen interest and some feeling of nostalgia until you come here and disgrace yourself by attacking Pita Obi.
You went as far as saying shame on him, nigger please get a life,Obi is a messiah,Obi is haven's sent, something like Obi has neva happened to Anambra State and we are praying that Obiano will keep the momentum and even surpass Obis wonderfulll works in Anambra state.
As daft as you could be you cant drive your idea home without spewing your hate venom on whom the people cherish so much because your Native Doctor choice was crushed and thrashed by the moving train.

Pls dnt ask me what Obi did to warrant all these my praises but make sure you do visit home often because i dont see the reason why you live in political abi economic asylum for 10yrs withouts returning home only to become an armchair critque.
