Absolute capitalism and absolute socialism practised in the old Soviet Union are both disastrous. If you've toured Eastern and Western Germany, you will see how disastrous absolute socialism can be as a result of its practice in the Eastern part of Germany after it was partitioned by the Allied force at the end of WW 2. I spent a couple of days in the east and believe me, there're lots of dilapidated and abandoned buildings with few industries in East Germany with many cities scanty because their inhabitants have relocated to the more prosperous West in search of better life. That is what just 46 years practice of communism can do to a country.
You can also see the same problem between North and South Korea. The North is suffering from extreme poverty while the South is prosperous economically because one country accepted socialism while the other embraced government controlled capitalism.
China have stopped practising absolute socialism that was introduced by Chairman Mao that is why they are able to churn out lots of Billionaires and currently have a prosperous and growing economy. Socialism stagnate growth and kills competition.

Capitalism as it's practising in USA and other western countries,is not absolute private ownership of means of production and control. I hate when they appeal to authority by saying certain scientists believed in their god. As if those people's genius in one particular area of science justifies their kooky beliefs. Just because someone is an expert in one area doesn't mean the same person can't be relatively average in another. An example is Einstein, who was a genius in the area of physics but when it came to economics, he supported socialism and that is really not the smartest position to take when it comes to economic and political freedom.

That is a well known cognitive bias called the Halo effect. This is one of the reasons why I try to encourage people to learn about biases and fallacies when having discussions.

Plus, you do not yet understand the concept of burden of proof. The atheist takes the default position that there is no proof, and as such we do not believe. It was clear that many atheists on this forum were simply doing copy and paste to justify their moronic assumptions or beliefs and therefore calling religions people,dumb,ignorant,cretin etc.

My reply to the OP is that I will never tire to talk to the atheists till the day I go the way of all men. They see nothing wrong in proselytizing their position and several have openly attested to deconverting Christians. It is therefore the duty of aLl Christians to better acquiant themselves with their position and prevent its erosion as is being done due to the activities of the so-called militant atheist eg claremont.

Yes.
I think survival comes closest to being the inherent purpose because as far as we know, all life forms strive to survive so it seems the basic instinct of all organisms is survival.........but a human has the capacity to "choose" not to survive.

So I think there is no inherent purpose but the purpose we choose for ourselves and our choices are constrained by the environment and society we happen to be a part of; and our physiological make up, especially the brain.

But in my own view,atheists shouldn't be classify as agents of devil. This is because they believe not in any supernatural being whether the true living God or devil. They are just confused human being that needs to be guiding/enlighten by genuine christians.
