Office of the Secretary to the Delta State Government burnt - Documents destroyed

A mysterious fire is said to have destroyed vital documents in the office of the Secretary to the Delta State Government (SSG).

The fire is said to have been kept secret from journalists but sources confirmed the incident saying "it was the entire Director's office in the office of the SSS that was burnt destroying all documents there which I believe are vital".

It is also reported that since the EFCC's attempt to probe ex-Governor James Ibori there has been tight security around the Delta State Government House and the SSG's office.

Ibori was responsible for more than 80% of Yar'Adua election expense. I just don't see much coming out of this case.

If evidence pops up, EFCC will investigate. As for Ibori, it is stark clear that he dipped his hands IMMENSELY into the State Treasury and evidence is there in her multitudes,

It doesnt matter who gets brought to book first afterall they cannot all be prosecuted at the same time (it is just not possible). As long as sanity/accountability is slowly or selectively (if u prefer) being re introduced to the country, i am happy. I think its a step in the right direction.
Even though i am not too confident about the way the whole drama is going or infact not going.

If my state governor out of fear of being "selectively" mistreated by EFCC provides good roads, schools etc from the point of view of my state I will care less if any other governor in Nigeria is not being watched.

God knows that those crying foul that Ibori and Odili are being prosecuted while IBB has not been prosecuted can only be direct beneficiaries of those loots.

There is no North/South devide about this, people just come on Nairaland to play up tribal sentiments they hardly believe in just to protect private interests period!!!!!!!

Any tribalistic Governor will be the first to look after his people, so too will any relative of a Governor who is tribalistic will be the first to demand that the Governor better the lives of their people.
