noblezone: Those blaming Jonathan for the menace of Boko Haram should see a shrink. Boko Haram is a product of the mis-amalgamation. If Buhari or any of the kinsmen of the Boko Haramites had won the election, there would have been "peace".

I am ashamed to read some tantrums here that will make my 1yr old so matured in the name of posts.

Boko Haram is not the normal security challenge. Nigeria is at "war"! The aggressors want to intimate us into submission. The philosophy is simple: "we rule or don't rule".

For those who find it hard to understand what Mr. President said, The American economy melted because of "war against terror". Boko Haram is doing a "good" job of making "Nigeria ungovernable".

We can either support the progressives and resist the internal colonialists or we can hide behind our computers and blame Mr. president for our woes as if he was the one that caused the mis-amalgamation.

So, it was BH that made his wife a Bayelsa perm sec from Abuja? It was BH made him change UNILAG to MAULAG without consultation with the uni community? It was BH that crippled war on corruption? Pls say something else

Indirectly he's telling Nigerians that as long as Bokoharam still exist, there will be no development. I guess he have finally shown his weakness, and now his opponent will hit him hard from that angle and make sure they cripple him & his govt. I am watching.

The issue here is not 2015..rather performance... Boko haram was never an agenda prior to 2011.. Candidates contested and campaigned based on the prevailing circumstances in the country then.. The biggest challenge was fairer electoral system, unemployment, wealth creation, diversification of economy, security( kidnapping and armed robbery).. GEJ in one year has not failed Nigerians.. Our economy is at over 6% growth, we are achieving transparency in the oil sector with the numerous economic benefits, agriculture is booming again after over 40 yrs of neglect, our parents and relatives in the country sides can start smiling, many unemployed youths in urban drift for a white collar job can now take advantage of this new opportunities, Nigeria is set to start making large export of agric produce, power has generally improved all over the country even when the sector has not been fully deregulated.. From barely 1500 nwts in 2010 to 4000mwts in dec 2011 and more power plants are under construction and PHCN has now adopted cost reflective tariff to encourage foreign interest and participation, NERC has challenged every Nigerian who suspects over billing in tariff to petition it( open door policy), from a report I read weeks ago several thousands of foreign interest have registered or are registering to do business in Nigeria at the moment all because of the economic policies of this admin., U-WIN Promo; beneficiaries are currently receiving their benefits with the resultant ripple effects in the e onomy vis a vis employment creation in few years from now... In the area of roads construction, Nigeria has never had it this great in just one year, every zone in Nigeria has one or two or more road rehabilitation or construction some of which are already completed.. Is our electoral system? Infact this alone is enough reason to mk GEJ A live president... For the first time even the opposition was disappointed because their popularity comes from going to court with unnecessary publicity.. Even oshobaba, my own state gov paid a thank u visit to GEJ... Kidnapping and other vices are on the decline .In federal appointed, no region is crying of marginalization . We can go on and on... ALL THESE ACHIEVEMENTS IN ONE YEAR.... Hasn't this man tried? However, we are restrategising on tackling the BH insurgence which was Neva in GEJ blueprint for Nigeria. Soon it will Passover us.. Say amen!

Jonathan is a disaster. Somehow I think we have not seen d worst of him yet.

He has told Nigerians loud and clear- I am overwhelmed and I am also incompetent to rule.

He has also indicated to all public officials that he is firmly in support of official graft by refusing to declare his assets.

And the fact that Diezani-Maduekwe works for Jonathan and his wife and not Nigeria is not lost on us.

The dollar sold for N163 yesterday. Nigeria is unravelling.

And to think that I actually supported him . . .

Hahahahahahahaha

You are isolated on this thread...its just you and the 40 laptop people on overdrive now.

Truth is that GEJ has eroded his support base to the point where its only HARDCORE tribal warriors, paid agents and PDP insiders that are left.

I like the CEO leadership example, and I will illustrate with this:

If you are appointed CEO of an organization and your competition suprises you with an agrressive push into your territory, at the Annual General Meeting will you raise your hands in surrender and announce OPENLY to the world that: 'Damn I had all these good plans for the company, but the competition surprised me with that move!'

...Or would you not put up a brave face and declare that you have seen the competitors moves and that it does not change the good plans for the company. Infact your latest secret strategy if in full force and will soon decimate the competition.

This announcement shows a man who is afraid that he will fail, and is already preparing his excuses beforehand.

But the truth is that leadership will always face challenges. The people being led, do not care to follow your plans and thought processes. Those are for the experts in the field to debate.

The people want results, and the truth is that while a weak leader may focus on his challenges and decide that is the reason for failure, there is always someone else who will do better facing the same challenges as his predecessor. We have seen this manifest in corporations, countries and even football teams.

Boko Haram is not stopping GEJ from tackling corruption, enacting the PIB, completing the EAST WEST road, starting the much heralded 24 hours clearance at the ports, resurfacing the Apapa-Oshodi road, Lagos-Ibadan expressway...the list of things to do is endless. He should have a check list and start cancelling things off that check list immediately.

Besides he appropriated over 900 billion to security. The NASS passed it. Whatelse does he want to tackle Boko Haram, Abeg?

In your world, men like me are not only mad but silly, moronic and are usually "ordered" to leave a public forum simply for the "crime" of saying their opinions.

I see how sane you are by being so sure that a 1yr old can become president and that in 7 days will know those behind Boko Haram.

As for declaration of his assets, the President has done what is required by the law. Be a little bit more diligent and you will find out what the issue is.

Emm, for your tantrums, my 1yr old has just earned more toys!
