9182736455O1999: They will only use existing network operators infrastructure, not networks. That is, they will have their own software/network/system different from existing TSPs (MTN, Glo, Airtel etc). They will only make use of their Mast etc. You see most mast u see are being used by all networks. No single TSP is solely using those mast u see around. All of them are using the same mast to save cost (economy of scale) yet their network service differs 2 Likes |

MartinsD12: Voice and SMS using the Internet. It's called VOIP, Voice-over-Internet Protocol. So they will need you to have an existing Internet connection and download their telephone app to be able to make and receive calls and sms. This is all a big marketing ruse as there are other people who already provide the same service. Like stn.ng and Swift and a few others. It's not new tech and has been cheaply available since 1999 when a software called Asterisk was first made available. 1 Like |

morikee: Yes,it's voip. Which is more expensive per minute than using the regular telcos. They are screaming like this is a new innovation whereas it has been widely available in Naija from companies like rapidBTS and stn.ng. ahmedpbx your input is needed here 1 Like |

Interesting days ahead.. They will penetrate the market with force if only their call rate and most Especially their Data becomes very cheap with fast connection.. And if they could partner with me too. Other networks will loose customers 1 Like |

MartinsD12: No. They are a virtual network operator. They need you to have Internet for their telephony and sms to work. It's still early days for this tech in Naija but it's where the world is headed to. Most businesses in the US use this VoIP tech. And I know all of this because I work (remote) for a US company that provides similar services. 1 Like |

Noblegraphix20: The average VoIP call in Nigeria is around ₦7/minute. So no,their rates aren't going to be lower than MTN and Co. And they will not be selling SIMs either. They "may" offer data, but it will be mostly over WiFi or direct to home or office |

edoairways: In simple language, you will need an Internet connection (from the likes of MTN and Co) to be able to use the phone and sms service. They will have an app that you can install on your phone to make and receive calls and text and voice mails. Their per minute pricing will be higher than |

MVNOs can't compete with mobile network operators rather they complement them by reselling the MNOs services. That's why they are mobile virtual network operators 😀 Parachoko: |

Good on. Naira has been floated. Another investor for nipost, palm oil, oil and natural gas. At least drive it to 4 million per day as stated in tinubu manifesto. These industries can create 1 million jobs and billions of dollars in revenue for jagaban govt. Also ajaokuta steel. That one alone is 600,000 jobs. 1.6- 2 million jobs. Simple arthemetics. |
