Just because someone speak gibberish doesn't mean they are speaking to Yahweh. I could walk into a church with my babbling and it doesn't mean that I'm talking in tongues.

If you walk into a church blabbing, that would be between you and God now wouldn't it?

Doesn't mean the person next to you is doing same as you are. That's why it calls it "mysteries" spoken to God.

if anybody can just interpret tongues, then why is it a gift from the holyspirit........Praying in tongues is your personal prayer language with God.........It is like an encrypted prayer that even the Devil dosent understand because you pray directly to God from your spirit.

Once again you are so right on this issue

Madam read down to 21... It says speaking in a foreign language... There's no where in the Bible it says praying in tongues is between you and God.

Are you sure?

1st Corinthians 14 vs 2

"For anyone who speaks in a tongue does not speak to people but to God. Indeed, no one understands them; they utter mysteries by the Spirit"

" I dont believe in talking about tithe because it is really a question of Faith""

Tithing has no single connection with "faith".

Stop deceiving ur sef. Tithing has a well established modus operande as per how to pay it.

It is you who has been freezed deceived, that is why I said there are those who read the bible and those who studied it.

Galatians 3: 6. Even as Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness. 7. Know ye therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham.

Abraham believed God and it accounted to him for righteousness, that is what the bible teaches. But righteousness of the children of israel was by the law because they didn't know God and never really believed him.

This also confirms who is deceived or the deceiver.

The law which was handed down to Moses, by God to the children of Israel - the same law that contains the modus operandi for paying the tithe - was given more than 400years after the passing of Abraham.

So how can you say, a man who never saw the law, was under the law? Use your brain, remove sentiments and bias against preachers and pastors and think.

Its like saying Muritala acted based on the 1999 constitution to frame some of his policies when he was alive, question was the 1999 constitution existing in the 1980's?

wink

Paul used a more befitting expression....

Hebrews 7: 9. And as I may so say, Levi also, who receiveth tithes, payed tithes in Abraham. 10. For he was yet in the loins of his father, when Melchisedec met him.

Can you see that? Levi is a tribe of people named after the man levi, who was a son of the man Israel, Israel who was the son of Isaac, Isaac who was Abraham's Son!

The timeline between Abraham and Moses is more than 600years for crying out loud, levi wasnt even born! Habaaaaaa........ undecided

There is a difference between speaking in tongues and praying in tongues, when you speak in tongues you need and interpreter but when you pray in tongues you communicating with the Holy Spirit and so you need no interpreter

Stop deceving yourself. If the sender of the message cannot understand what he is saying, how would the receiver understand?

''Galatians 3: 6. Even as Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness. 7. Know ye therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham".

This has absolutely nothing to do with Tithe.

Ur heavily beating about the bush.

Like I said, paying tithe has nothing to so with faith. The Bible has laid down rules for tithing.

FREEZE MADE ENOUGH SENSE THIS TIME AROUND.

Even Apostle Paul saw a situation where everyone spoke in tongues without an interpreter as senselessness and MADNESS.

Please, quote the scripture!

Who gave the mouth?

Who gave us languages?

Is anything too hard for that God who created humanity to hear or understand?

Why not live the SPEAKER IN UNKNOWN TONGUES ALONE? Does it remove an hair from your skin?

Go read 1 Corinthians Chapter 14.
You probably don't read your Bible. You just possess QUICK FAITH. The Bible should be your constitution.

If a Chinese start speaking to you would you understand?
It's not a language of men we speak but of angels. It's supernatural.

Interpretation therefore is not natural but a spiritual gift in operation.

Freeze is not a born again believer....

First he said Muslims will go to heaven. No one who knows Jesus and has experienced salvation can say such.

Then: tithing is unscriptural.

Now this... Why should I be surprised?

The Holy Bib is not my constitution, if it was I would hav quote and quote verses upon verses, but the HolySpirit of God is.

I do not acquise you, you are those who accuses others of not being up to your knowledge of things.

But why? Are ou not born of Him? Why, how can you continue to accuse your own brethrens like an unbeliever? Why?

Am content with the little I have and I know by these little things no soul could draw ne back or forward from where God predestined me to be and from where I want to be.

I will read it:
He who speaks in tongue does not speak to men but to God. For NO ONE understand HIM, For in the SPIRIT, he SPEAKS MYSTERIES!

Do you see? In a world full of thousand languages men are going up and down to learn a language nature does not give them! Vanity...!
SPEAKING THE LANGUAGE OF THE SPIRIT IS DIFFERENT FROM MAN'S!

A word of knowledge or prophecy delivered in tongues would need interpretation so that the congregation can understand the message.

But praying in tongues is distinct from that and needs no interpretation. It is a personal and direct prayer to God under the unction of the Holy Spirit.

That was a miracle. The Lord opened their minds to understand. Come to think of it, how can you hear 120-people speaking at the same time from an upper room, even if they spoke your language.

The Lord made each person listening to understand. It was a miracle.

Really? among the several languages represented in a noisy uproar. undecided

It says EVERYONE heard THEM speak in his own language. It didnt say everyman heard SOMEONE speak his own language. NO...Everyman heard the noisy sound that came from the upper room, in his own language

Acts 2:6 Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language.

Study again, you'll find truth there. That was actually a fulfilment of prophesy ..

Isaiah 28:11-12 For with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to this people.
To whom he said, This is the rest wherewith ye may cause the weary to rest; and this is the refreshing: yet they would not hear.

The bolded above is the reason you should be careful of this freeze guy.

When Paul encountered Jesus on the way to Damascus, he heard the Lord speak to him but those who were with him heard nothing...

Acts 22:9 And they that were with me saw indeed the light, and were afraid; but they heard not the voice of him that spake to me.

The Holy Spirit is a master communicator.

If they were listening to everyone would they have picked any message?
Can you listen to ten people at once?

Concerning the English above.
Everyone heard them can also mean everyone heard someone.
If I and a friend catch 4 fishes each. And you passed by and asked "how did you get those fishes?" I could say we caught them. That does not mean we caught each fish together. I caught 4 and he caught for but together we caught them(8 ). So some converts heard peter some heard Andrew some heard another apostle but together they heard them.

You asked some good questions you should try and answer yourself...

They listened with their physical ears but they HEARD with their minds. Sad, you can only relate with the physical ...hence physical ears only. But those are only for capturing sound. The actual hearing is with the mind and spirit and the Holy Spirit is master in that arena.

It's silly of you to compare that scenario with catching fish since you catch fish one at a time but the crowd spoke in tongues at once.
