He clearly does not understand impeachment as defined in English language and in the US constitution.

The US Senate cannot quench or stop and impeachment, impeachment starts and ends in the House.

After that, if the House chooses; they can refer the article of impeachment to the Senate; the House can decided to either send or not to send it to the Senate; whether it is sent or not or if their is trial in the Senate or not; the President stand impeached!

The trial that takes place in the Senate is totally different, if the Senate convict him he will then be removed from office, if the Senate does not, he still remain an impeached President.

Impeachment is just an official Indictment of an offense. The Nigeria constitution have it wrong as the removal from office.

NO, the basis of the impeachment is unfounded malicious and ill-conceived as chiamponed and sponsored by the Democrats in the House of rep except for 3 democrats who voted no to impeach Trump because they know it's not justified.

It was a partisan motivated impeachment so don't expect any different in the Senate who are majorly Republicans who would cancel the impeachment indictment and acquit President Trump..it's not rubber stamping anything..it's about thrashing out complete nonsense impeachment that was not justified in the first place.Please receive sense to know the difference between America and Nigeria politics..They are NOT the same.

If you ask me..I wish we can impeach this useless bingohari president for incompetence and numerous abuse of power as shown by many evidence but we have a docile and inactive house of Rep and Senate in Nigeria so what do we see..everything keep going down and getting worse..from security to the economy to everything

Chief Ebenezer Babatope, a former Minister of Transport on Thursday said the impeachment of US President, Donald Trump by the House of Representatives is a lesson to all world leaders that power is transient.

He however said like the the case of former US president, Bill Clinton, the impeachment will be quashed by the US Senate.

Speaking in a chat with Daily Independent, Babatope, a chieftain of the PDP said ” The impeachment of Donald Trump will fail at the Senate. Apparently, it is going to be the same thing that happened when Bill Clinton was impeached for allegedly having sexual intercourse with a woman, Monica Lewinsky”.

” He was impeached in the House but it was stopped at the Senate. The same will happen to Donald Trump”.

You can blame a speaker for inaudibility or lack of clarity but certainly not for your inability to comprehend.

Transient does not in anyway mean 'that Trump is no longer president of the US. The man is obviously saying that public office holders must always realize that they can't remain in power till eternity, hence their conducts should be guided.

Whether or not Trump is impeached eventually, these certainly are 'humbling' times for him.

What exactly is your point? The word transient is totally contradictory in relationship to the contex of his analysis of the event and to a large extent, out of place in the whole scenario.
