There's identity crisis caused by Dr Olusola Saraki because his affiliation with the north was benefitial to his political I clination back then, otherwise I don't see reason why someone called "OLUSOLA" and whose children bears names like "BUKOLA", GBEMISOLA" will claim to be a northerner and sell his people to the north

These folks aspiration is in order and a worthy course to fight for. Also this has more than ever confirm the awkward lumping, merger and marriage of a people, tribes and nations of unlike minds and culture plus interest and identity that characterize the entity call NIGRIA.

THE EARLIER WE ACKNOWLEDGE THE WRONG DONE BY OUR AMALGAMATOR AND SORT OUR ISSUES(GO OUR SEPARATE WAYS) WE WILL ONLY CONTINUE LIVING IN DENIALS... my opinion

Whilst it is nobody’s business if a group of people choose to identify with their larger clan instead of being with strange bed fellows, it is noteworthy that the minority clans are the ones striving to integrate with the larger Yoruba clan, whilst it is the larger Igbo clan that keeps trying to force the minority Igbo clans to join them.

The bottom line is that no group of people should be forced to remain or join any other group of people, especially if they disagree as is the case mostly with the Igbo clan and their minority relatives. That is the whole difference here, hence no case of hypocrisy at all.

You're right. That's exactly how they shouted when we said that the Igbo speaking parts of the South South are Igbos.

What a hillarious post!!!

You need to understand the concept of ethnic politics before writing like a dementia patient.

During the 60's and 70's, Igbo speaking ethnic groups located in the Niger Delta were keen on still remaining with the Igbos of the hinterland(Isuama),even after the war,the likes of Obi Wali wanted Ikwerre to be part of the proposed Imo state, but the Igbos of the hinterland who are known to be very proud didn't take him serious, same with Delta Igbos, and now that we are the goose that lays the golden egg you want us to say we are Igbo and join the South East..You must be funny!..We are okay where we are, because we know your agendas,it's better we continue developing Port Harcourt and Ali Ikwerre in general than join South East to be used and dumped later..After all even in Iboland, there are fake and real Igbos, and we don't want to be part of such quagmire..We are Ikwerres...Proudly Iwuruonha

Nicely written. Ikwerres have about nothing to gain as it is by aligning with Igbos. Not like the Igbos are at the helm of affairs in Nigeria and therefore the need for famzing. Let everyone bear their papa names on the interim. Ikwerres are fantastically fine in our current position.

Let the NASS see to meeting their demands. Meanwhile, this separation would reduce the burden for the Kwara and Kogi state governments and increase the burden for those states they may merge with. They deserve their freedom this is DEMOCRACY. So, Buhari must obey the constitution and rule of law.
Re: Yorubas In Kwara, Kogi Demand Merger With South-West by Mars16(m): 1:49pm On Sep 27, 2020
The military government of then Nigeria did unnecessary merging of ethnic groups some tribes are not meant to be in some states and they need Freedom. This is DEMOCRACY AND BUHARI MUST OBEY THE RULE OF LAW AND THE CONSTITUTION, WHETHER HE LIKES IT OR NOT.

The same people that will insult and cause the igbos if they are the one making this moves, the hypocrisy in this country is way beyond what one can imagine.

There is a difference here and this is not hypocrisy.

You can see the Yorubas in Kwara/Kogi are the one making effort to join those in the SW based on their own discretion and NOT that the Yorubas in the SW are the one constantly telling them to join by fire by force or laying claim that we own them.

Most of the minorities in the SS haven’t taken this kind of approach and it is mostly Igbos that always speak for them by telling them they are automatically part of their Biafra which some of them have continue to deny.

I hope you can reflect and understand this simple scenario I painted.

Says who?

You have no mouth in the matter.

You have enough problems in your region to resolve

Like Boko Haram, kidnapping, banditry, Almajiris, extreme poverty, etcetera.

Therefore resolve these first before putting your mouth where it is not required.

Very much in order. My friends always wonder, especially the ones that are not Nigerians. They don't understand why I am bearing a Yoruba name and I'm a northerner. This demand is long overdue abeg!

No.
Population is part of determination for apportionment of monthly allocation.

Kwara and Kogi allocations will diminish while the states accomodating the new arrivals will enjoy increased allocations.

Ebira are from Kogi. They are just highly affiliated with Yoruba because they are all over Yoruba land farming. As they are good farmers. Their population is small anyway, they can stay with Igala if they want. Since the centuries they have been moving around Yorubaland undisturbed, who force them to become Yoruba?
