I'm currently working for an igboman. Firstly I took the job so that I can make some money but over time I dropped the idea of working for the Money, I'm now learning the Igbo ways of business. My boss is an uneducated Igbo man , he looks broke but in truth at all at all my oga is worth a wiping 800m-1 billion naira. His ways of doing business is out of this world. He bought a Hummer bomber bus last month for 1.5m, a bus that an average man can pay 5m for.

As the whites would say "if you stick around the barber shop too long you'll get a free hair cut" I'm beginning to strike incredible business deals myself even tho I'm still learning. To an igboman business is an art.

I'm blessed to have met my boss

U can keep lying to yourself .. Nigerians all over know who dominate their local market and cities q

lol

So because people say Igbos are ritualists or Nigeria is the giant of Africa,we should believe, abi.Realities, succeses, perseverance, spread and business acumen are what determine good business people. Yorubas have these in Abundance.

Yorubas are the only people that have businesses that have survived more than 70 years and still counting.

Yorubas are the ones who have gone out of Nigeria with nothing but established businesses that run into billions of dollars and billions of pound sterling in worth.

The only worthy Igbo businessman or person in the days of old was Louis Ojukwu who did not have anything left behind that one can point to as a tangible business.

The places you dominate are some markets in Lagos like Alaba,Ladipo,Trade fair,Computer village,Yaba etc.
Yorubas too dominate Owode onirin,Pelewura,Oshodi,Lagos Island...Enu Owa,Balogun etc,Oja Oba,Ijora,Oyingbo etc.

As you dominate phones,Generators,Electrical parts, spare parts, okrika, leather shoes, bags etc.

Yorubas too dominate Iron rods and steel,Poultry and feeds,Plastics,Cereals,Rubber shoes,Seafood,Woods and plywoods, glasses,Vehicles etc.

All of these are petty traders except a few.
Yorubas dominate their markets in Ibadan,On do,Ekiti,Ogun state,Kwara etc.
We can only see a handful of Igbo clustered together in these places.
You only have a great impact in Lagos because you have a large population there. Lagos is the only place you have been most successful in the world more than even your 5 states. It is not like this for the Yorubas who have shown that they are some of the most astute businessmen and women in the world.

These are Yorubas that have been very successful in business both at home and abroad.

There is nothing special about igbos we are just patient , observant and very calculative in business

I’ve noticed Igbos and Indians have a similar frugal approach to business...especially when they’re starting off!

I said it. Just look at this one!? SMH.

Ndigbo may want to laugh or gloss over these peoples insane preoccupation with anything IGBO....always wanting to compare themselves with us, but i think this is a very serious issue! They’re so obsessed with matching their successes with those of Ndigbo to the point of insanity, and i feel very uncomfortable sharing the same country with these people!

It’s this kinda obsessing and trying to get one over on the Igbo that can drive one to advocating starving our non-combatants in a war when it’s starting to look like you can’t defeat our soldiers on the battlefield; it’s this kinda obsessing that can make you suggest to the enemy of Ndigbo that they should carve out hydrocarbon rich Igbo areas and place them in non-homogeneously Igbo states., and ‘encourage’ them to deny their Igbo heritage, thereby shrinking the Igbo territory and denying them access to the sea!

Any naive Igbo that feels it’s ok to share the same country with these type of people would be making the same mistake Zik made, and another 60 years from today we would still be agonising over questions of nationhood and Ndigbo position in ‘one Nigeria’!

Why don't you travel too?
The largest number of plastic manufacturing companies and glass manufacturing companies are in the SW... mostly owned by Foreigners and a few Yorubas. The largest markets for glasses and plastics are in the SW.
Yorubas control the markets for these 2 especially in the SW which has the biggest market for them.

https://www.nigeriagalleria.com/Manufacturing_and_Production/Plastics_s.html

Go all over Lagos and the SW,vehicle businesses are controlled by Yorubas with a sprinkle of other tribes.Elizade only imports and deals with Toyota, the most popular brand of vehicles in Nigera. We also have Lanre Shittu motors who also assembles vehicles,Oluwalgbon motors is another very big player,Skymit motors is also very big and also Tejude motors etc
All of these auto entities can be located in other areas in Nigeria.

These are big players in the league if choscharis who happens to be the only big Igbo fish in vehicle Biz

Plastic ? ...glass? ..do u know how innoson made his money ? Or the likes of ibeto ?
There are over 30 plastic companies in Igbo land from ABA to ontisha to enugu ...Bros calm down
Even your minister of trade ..Uche ogar has one ...master energy plastics ....Bros plastic full East like mad

Glass there is no glass manufacturing company in Nigeria , the only ones u have are bottle producers ....but building glass none we import

The only one was supposed to be built in rivers State ...so relax there are bottle manufacturing companies everywhere ...ABA alone has a few ...with many steel recycling plants

I know this areas very very well cos I'm investing in them very soon max 10 years

There is only one break pad manufacturer in Nigeria he is based in Lagos and igbo man

Igbos own business in Nigeria ...so many igbos manufacturers brand their business foreign brands to avoid pressecusion and tax ...most battery for cars u buy are made in nnewi

Basically people ask me why are the igbos successful in business I always replied ...turn over and delayed gratification .......

Most people want to make all the gain from one sale ...Igbo man can sale with 10 naira on a goods of 5000 naira ....he can even make lose at first to win your trust ....then you keep coming back ..paying 100 folds that loss

Some yorubas would say is it from this shops this man built his house ? ...nah shop is just an office nothing more ...baba might have 25 shops across 10 states managed by boys , or can have a warehouse bigger than your family house 10 times

Remember when I stared my factory ....I bought over 12 distribution vans ...but had no car of my own ...yes 12 vans .......

There is nothing special about igbos we are just patient , observant and very calculative in business
You will always find a way to mention Yoruba. Then when they show up to tame you, you start shouting tribalism.

Igbos don't know much about business.Didn't I tell you?
Yorubas dominate glasses because they produce glasses.

Igbo have been touted to be business savvy but Igbo also love education too. All those that war deprived education can pay any amount to get their wards educated. They pay as much as 50k per month for after school lessons and the result is showing both home and abroad with their excellent performances. In 2018 an ordinary looking Igbo man in my sister's neighbourhood gave his son who just graduated - though he was forced to do his masters degree - 50m to start a business. On two occasions I saw the man, he was driving mecerdes 240. These traits can also be found among Chinese and Indians.

The greatest positive influence on my life spirtually and naturally from Igbo Men. God bless apostle. I feel pain as a Yoruba boy seeing the tribal hate on nairaland. Either way it is bad. There are great people everywhere. Our hate mongering will make us miss out.

Igbos are Kings of business. That is too clear.
