Well, there is no Glo 3G service presently in Yola but, it is presently on WCDMA Preferred because, when I changed the Network type to WCDMA Only when I newly bought the modem, it refuses to connect until I switched it back to WCDMA Preferred. Meanwhile, it is connecting but the issue of terrible signal strength is preventing me from browsing.

No need for the confusion because, I have never said I work in Glo before now. As for this discovery, some have even testified that they tried it with N0.something in their account and it works. As for me, 777 is even telling me that I don't have any subscription but, I wouldn't give up as there is presently network issues here in Yola.

Well, I subscribed to Glo Coweek with N400 and changed the APN on my Glo Bolt Modem to blackberry.net, leaving the password and username blank. That was all I did. Thank you.

Glo network can be terrible in Yola sometimes. The lack of 3G there is what has been pushing me to Airtel. However, I advise you change your modem to a more advanced one with a better chipset. I Use the Etisalat Huawei E367 (unlocked). It has a qualcomm chipset which enhances its antenna and gets killer connection speeds. I use a blackberry bold 9780 with a glo sim and use the Full BIS N2800 plan. It comes with 3GB of data allocated. Have been on the road but will post my own findings later at night when am settled.

Thank you. Well, I don't know how to deactivate Glo BB plan but, I think your current plan need to run out first before you can subscribe to another plan.

Do you know when I called Glo 3G customer care today on 444, the lady was so dumb not to even understand common network issues and yet, she is a customer care who is supposed to solves problems of her subscribers. I just hope that the signal will truly go up so that I can post my experience again.

the problem with my glo here is that it disconnect every 10-15mins
but just try mtn bis with Set DNS and it works perfectly...
Since i have been using mtn bis on pc(unlimited) and it working with my galaxy s3 through set dns i shall stick to it because its stable...

glo bis-secondary
airtel bis-thirdly
etisalat bis- may by next there shall breakthrough....

FOR ANDROID UERS WHO PREFER MTN BIS steps....
1.download set dns from play store,,
2.insert ur mtn sim and recharge 500(weekly) or 1500(monthly)
3.send sms to 21600 with the word BBCWEEK OR BBC
4.turn on your mobile data, open set dns amd grant permission to Set DNS

pls note: ITS ONLY FOR ROOTED DEVICES....
If your phone is not rooted, google or youtube how you can root ur device model..

Yes, I was experiencing that frequent disconnection before the signal refuses to rise on my modem till now.

121 Glo customer care called me just now, due to the email I sent them over the poor internet signal on my Bolt Modem. I hope everything will become normal soon. Meanwhile, the Modem is showing Limited or no connectivity now even after try the three profiles I have on it. I don't really know what is going on with the Glo internet service is Yola right now.

Glo Bolt (APN gloflat)
Glo Direct (APN glosecure)
