Yar'Adua goes on two-week vacation • Indian PM for heart surgery Indian PM also sick and out for one month But the difference is, even Nigerian journalist has more info in the health of the Indian PM than our own President. The Indian PM is also being treated in India while ours is treated by the rest of the World. Germany, Saudi, London, US even plus marrabouts from Niger Republic. |

i think we should just halt all this nagging because it's going to lead us to nowhere, and we must accept the fact that this man has done much for the country and still willing to do more so why can't we give him hands to make sure that things go smoothly, besides that we all know that this man is sick and that he could need a leave for a medical attention or just to have a rest so it doesn't mean we should start humiliating or saying bad words against him . that all i have for you. |

JJYou When you see people talking crap, check out their number of post. If its less that 20, treat it with suspicion. People have an idea of creating multiple IDs when an issue they care about comes up. |

Shonekan proved that you could be president without even contesting an election. Obasanjo proved that you could be president for life. Yar adua proved that we dont even need a president. |

This is a fraud. Leave is only earned when you have worked. Do you get leave for being sick all the time? Was he ever on duty? Maybe presidency should be privatised self to make it more efficient like other parastatals |

This is one of the flaws of our constitution. Any candidate aspiring for the highest office in the land should be compelled to prove to the people that he is healthy enough for the post and then let the people make up their mind. If this had been the case, this guy would have had to withdraw his candidacy. But then knowing Nigeria, they would have gotten one wuruwuru doctor declare him fit only to tell us he developed this and that a day after election. |

good morning nigerian, the siad gentle man deserve critics, cos he is a public figure, and as well a politician, when they say sit down, stand up,now we are in a global transprent world, therefor monitoring him is not new ,much more democratic value is concern, WITH this hid out ,we are stand still, IF he is on leave , tell us and stay duration, not pretending that thing arearight while things are off hand. otherwise one time aspriant stated, give him only 24hrs to rule this state, will we say the he is crazy, mind you we are all nigeria not nigerian, |

@ cre8tivity you're being ridiculous as usual. just in-case you did not know, the full story has not been released, therefore it makes no sense to speculate. i can also assure you that when the rest of the story is released, it wouldn't be on friday. yaradua may be slow, but the man doesn't play stupid game. yes, the constitution allows the president to take days off for personal or for medical purpose. Come, how much were u paid? We have a SICK president, is that not glaring enough? Do u need a soothsayer to tell u that? hisses |

Just who's paying for all these "breaks"? I still can't understand why these idiots (leaders) think it's their right to be in such positions of power, and not a privilege. If not, why must he continue by all means possible. Like his campaign manager said, "it is a do or die affair". kazeem4t: Please list what he has managed to accomplish in over 20 months in office. Would be patiently waiting for your response, but I wouldn't hold my breath. |

Stupid, myopic, ignorant people - is it a crime for the President of a nation to go on two weks annual leave? It happens everywhere, in America, Britain, France, etc - is it a crime for the President to go on leave, what is wrong with Nigerians? |

i really dnt know why african leaders will not resign when they know they not fit to carry on. its very obvious this man isnt feeling too well and he cant discharge his responsibilities in his condition. i bet some bad advisers must be urging him on, like his wife. |
Re: Breaking News: Yar'adua To Proceed On Two-week Leave by kid4real: 9:16am On Jan 26, 2009 |
if Yra'Adua cannot continue this presidency, my advice for him is just to step down. one thing with hausa men is that it is do or die. nigeria wants to kill the poor man for his family. once again, let him just step down

Re: Breaking News: Yar'adua To Proceed On Two-week Leave by chidichris(m): 9:32am On Jan 26, 2009 |
to me, this is no way a breaking news. nigeria and nigerians are used to doing their things with or without president. the man that forced yar adua on us spent almost his first four years on air. he was ruling nigeria from different airspaces traveling from one country to another and nobody took that to be a breaking news. if yar adua has been on seat for almost 2years without much difference, what will two weeks absence mean? all these resources been wasted by our govt and the so called stake holders could be useful in our movie industry. armed robber turned goat- what of his gun? atiku reconciles with obj - what about all the criminial accusations from both sides? now they are nolonger criminals? petrol now N65 on the pages of newspapers. emergency on power sector - how many years emergency? all these movie scripts are written by one and only obj and not until the man quits nigerian politics, nothing will ever move forward. i have said it before and i am saying it again, the only way to be a successful criminal in nigeria is by doing it under the special immunity of obj and today atiku is truning back to his able partner having confirmed he cannot make a headway without him. it is either nigerians are blind or we are out to decieve ourselves. why will everything still end up in ottah farm? why is it that all the criminals that operate from ottah farm are always on the safe side till date, i have not seen a president in yar adua. obj is still too much arround. the worst is yet to come as the pdp is doing everything possible to make nigeria a one party system. no wonder our prophet of doom(obj) told us to expect a tough year |

If president of Nigeria will be on leave for two weeks, what do you expect the Vice president and Governor should do. |
