I still don't see any difference between Isoko and Urhobo. Saying that both groups are different tribes is the sane as saying that Arochukwu, Ngwa, Otuocha, Awka, Oji variety of Igbos are different.

deegwoo, megwoo is just a little change. I wish I am from one of these two tribes really really understand the differences.

Let's look at the same sentences in Igbo dialects.

Queens English: I am going to school.
Standard Igbo: M na-aga ülö akwükwö.
Onitsha Igbo: M na-aga ünö akwükwö.
My village: M le-eje ülö ekwükwö.

All these mean the same thing but look different.

You are right. There is no difference.

Your use of Igbo is a good example.

Before the advent of the British to the Niger Delta the communities in Isoko were frequently engaged in conflicts between and amongst themselves owing to disagreements resulting from ownership of land struggle for crude power to have dominion over others.

The Isokos are a peaceful people as there are no records or history of conflicts or wars between them and their neighbors in the past.

A QUESTION FOR ISOKOS ONLY

Will you like to be in a new state created for you & the Urhobos only? What is the general feeling of the Isoko nation about being in new state with Urhobo people?

I have dealt with Urhobo and Isoko people, to me there is no difference between them, I don't know why they insist on being seen as different. If they were not in the same state like some of the Igbo groups who claim they aren't Igbo, it would have been understandable, but they are in the same Delta state.
Urhobo and Isoko are the same people

The writer of that piece did a very wonderful work no doubt but did not caption the real value that distinguished the Isokos from any other tribe and ethics groups in Nigeria and indeed the world. That not withstanding, I really commend the effort. I want to say that the Isokos are a very distinct people from the Urobos in very many ways, and it was for this very reason that they sought to be separated from the Urobos so that people can actually see who and what they are. The separation was not motivated by political freedom but for the purpose of self assertion. Just because the Urobos are more in number and occupy a larger land space, they tend to overrun the Isokos. The Isokos are a people who love to be recognized for who they are. They like and appreciate personal recognition. Maybe subsequently we shall published our write up about the Isokos and then people will see clearly for themselves the difference between the Isokos and any other tribe in Nigeria.
