reminds one of a certain col obasanjo, who stopped a bullet wit his fat butt cheek, while leading a brigade retreat, away from a platoon of young biafran boys.

Where did you hear the story? From your usual drinking joints where you normally meet to pass around empty boast, abi? Where is evidence to your useless story? I learnt it was this same obasanjo that finally defeated the biafran rebels. I also learnt only 180 Nigerian soldiers that chased the multitude of biafrans ruffians back from Ofosu, near Ore town, back across the Niger bridge to Biafra. That small army was headed by a captain from Ondo town? Can you imagine 180 soldiers chasing a whole battalion of biafran rogues through 150 miles?

I read in a book that focused on the history of African people in west Africa, that the yorubitches are a descendant from the dirty Hausa states that came from prince babayida's immoral relationship with a slave girl. Guess what that makes you and your father: A bast@rd.

You deserve no reasonable comment

You seem to be the ignorant one here. Who won the final battle in the civil war? It was Colonel Obasanjo. Nothing you can do to change that. Who sent your useless ruffian rapist slaughterer army out of Midwest back to Biafra? It was a Yoruba captain from ondo town with his 180 soldiers (I can't remember his name now). Nothing you can do to change that. Why did biafran rebels blow up the Niger bridge? because they were afraid of the Nigerian army pursuing them. Nothing you do can change that. Ignorant fooool!

The federal soldier who stopped the Biafran troops at Ore was Col. Raphael Oyinlade Iluyomade (rtd). He commanded a platoon of 33 soldiers at Ore, which was later increased to 179 soldiers, after the invasion of the Mid-West, and the movement of the rebels towards the South-West.

Did you read this link that you posted, the man said that Yoruba's can't fight , that his battalion at Ore is more of hausas, that Yoruba have less than 1000 men in Nigerian army and most them are service men which cannot fight, you people will come here and claim that Yoruba drove Biafra army out of Western Nigeria

Did you read my post? shocked shocked My post simply stated the name of the commanding officer of the battalion who stopped the advance of the Biafran army towards the Southwest. And yes, he was a Yoruba man. Apologies if it offends your sensibilities. If you want more info on this aspect, please read the book Tragedy of Victory by Godwin Alabi-Isama, a retired soldier. undecided

And contrary to what you stated here, the man said most of the Yorubas in the army were not trained soldiers, but clerks, administrative staff etc. so they could not fight, which was why he now had to train them on how to use arms and fight, under his command. Due to their small number, Obasanjo had to send additional 150 troops who were Northerners and mostly Hausa chaps to beef up his battalion at Ore. But there was no love lost between them and there was a lot of suspicion among soldiers cutting across both ethnic groups.

Please read the article again with an open mind. shocked

they really just recalled desserters a lot of officers and COs are still in court or have been demoted a lot happens in the NA that you won't hear its cause he's from a popular family thats y its worth mentioning

But there is absolutely no officer as highly ranked as a Major General among them. Absolutely, none of that rank from the North.

For goodness sake, at that rank you command a whole army Division. You can also be Chief of Army Staff as a Major General, similar to Maj Gen Buratai. In that exalted command, was he in the war front? If your court martial him, you have to court marshal the entire Division.
