Questioner: As soon as a man receives more money, he thinks of polygyny. His purpose is not to build a family. His purpose is enjoyment.
Shaykh al-Albaniy RahimahuLlaah: That is good. That is good. That is good.
(the gathering and the shaykh laugh)
Question: Does he not fall into something?
al-Albaniy: Do you want to say that he falls into Haram? His purpose is allowed and he does not fall into any prohibition. However, we order him to add a recommended factor to this allowed deed. We order him to increase the Ummah of Muhammad (sallâ Allâhu ‘alayhi wa sallam) so that he is rewarded more with his Lord when he raises his offspring

Imaam Ahmad bin Hanbal (d.241H)- rahimahullaah – said:
“All praise is for Allaah who, in every age and intervals between the Prophets, raises up a group from the People of Knowledge, who call the misguided to guidance, patiently bearing ill treatment and harm. With the Book of Allaah they give life to the dead, and by Allaah’s Light they give sight to the blind. How many a person killed by Iblees (the Devil) have they revived. How many people astray and wandering have they guided. How beautiful their effect has been upon the people, and how vile people have been towards them. They expel from the Book of Allaah the alterations of those going beyond bounds, the false claims of the liars and the false interpretations of the ignorant ones – those who uphold die banner of innovation and let loose the trials and discords; who differ about the Book, oppose the Book, and agree upon opposing the Book. They speak about Allaah and His Book without knowledge, argue about what is ambiguous in the Book, and deceive the ignorant masses with such ambiguities. We seek refuge in Allaah from the trials of the misguided ones.”

HOW TO MOVE THE FINGER IN TASHAHHUD.
Questioner: In some of your tapes we heard that moving the [index] finger in the tashahhud is not done by raising and lowering it, i.e., [but should be done by moving it] from the right to the left, so we implement this, walhamdulillaah, but the people ask us what the proof for that is?
Al-Albaani: How do you implement it?
Questioner: Ya’ni, I move my finger from the right to the left.
Al-Albaani: Who told you that?
Questioner: One of your tapes, O Shaikh.
Al-Abaani: No, you’re mistaken.
Questioner: What is the correct way?
Al-Albaani: The correct way is that you move it in its place, not to the right and left, in other words, you raise it and lower it but in a manner that can hardly be seen, understand?
Questioner: Understood, O Shaikh, understood.
Al-Albaani: As for moving it the right and left then this has crept in among you from your old madhhab, or from the madhhab of some of you in Algeria and Morocco and those countries on the coast of the Mediterranean Sea, i.e., the Maaliki madhhab, they are the ones who do what you mentioned …
Questioner: In [your book] Sifatus-Salaatin-Nabee, you mentioned that when Imaam Ahmad was asked whether he pointed with his finger in the prayer he said, ‘Yes, intensely.’ Intensely, what does intensely mean here? The speed or what?
Al-Albaani: That is it, ya’ni, a lot.
Questioner: A lot?
Al-Albaani: Yes.
Questioner: Alhamdulillaah.

Amazing Admonition From Yunus Bin Ubayd to Those Complaining About Poverty and Hardship! Some of our associates narrated to me that a man came to Yunus bin Ubayd (d. 139H) and complained of the hardship he was going through in his livelihood and of his anxiety because of it. So he said (to him), "Would you be happy to give up your eyesight for a hundred thousand (dinars, dirhams)?" He said, "No." He said, "Then what about your hearing?" He said, "No." He said, "Then what about your tongue?" He said, "No." He said, "Then what about your aql (intellect)?" He said, "No, [not] for any wants, needs." Then he reminded him of the favours of Allaah upon him after which he, Yunus, said, "I see that you have hundreds of thousands of (dinars, dirhams) yet you are complaining of need! Al-Siyar of al-Dhahabi (6/292). And the meaning here is that since you have placed such monetary worth on your faculties granted to you by Allaah, then you can't be that destitute like what you are claiming, and in reality, Allaah's favours and bounties upon your are abundant by your own self-admission.

Asceticism of the Salaf

Once Ahmad ibn Hanbal was leading 'Abdur-Razzaaq in prayer and he forgot (a verse), so 'Abdur-Razzaaq asked him after the prayer about the reason (because he was not known to forget) so Ahmad told him that it was due to him not having eaten for the past three days.

Eating collectively from a single plate – Shaykh Ibn al-’Uthaymeen RahimahuLlaah

Al-Wahshiyyi ibn Harb radiallaahu ‘anhu related that some of the Companions of Allaah’s Messenger sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam said:
O Messenger of Allaah! We eat, but do not become satisfied.
So he said to them: “Perhaps you eat separately?”
So they replied: Yes.
So he said: “Eat your food collectively, mention the Name of Allaah upon it, then there will be blessings for you in it.”
It is Hasan: Related by Abu Daawood (no.3764). It was authenticated by al-Haafidh al-‘lraaqee in his Takhreejul-lhyaa (214).
Shaykh Ibn al-‘Uthaymeen said:
“This indicates that it is essential to eat collectively from a single plate. So if there are five or ten people, they should eat collectively from a single dish, depending upon the situation. Indeed, doing so is a cause for barakah (blessings) to descend, whilst eating separately is a cause for barakah to depart.”
Sharh Riyaadhus-Saaliheen (7/231) of Ibn al-‘Uthaymeen.

One of the salaf رحمه الله said:
"If I disobey Allaah, I see that in the attitude of my riding beast and my wife."
Therefore, akhiy! Before you start bashing your "unruly" wife for misbehaving to you, or before you start thinking, "why am I unlucky with every woman I marry", it's wise you do a critical assessment and evaluation of yourself. It may be that you've been committing a sin(s), as a result of which Allaah is using her to punish you.
It may also be your car or other properties; visiting the mechanics workshop every other day, as if your car is suffering bipolar disorder.

embarassed cry angry

THEY CRUCIFIED HIM FOR BEING UPON THE SUNNAH

A reminder of patience

The imam, the exemplar, the martyr inshaa Allah, Abu Bakr Muhammad Ibn Ahmad Ibn Sahl Ar-Ramli, known as Ibn An-Nabulsi [d.363 AH] 1

Ibn Al-Jawzi mentioned concerning Jawhar As-Siqilli the Fatimid general that he said to Abu Bakr An-Nabulsi: “It has reached us that you have said that if a man has ten arrows, he must shoot one arrow at the Romans, and nine at us [The Fatimid Shiites]. He [Abu Bakr] said: “I haven’t said that. Rather, I said that if he has ten arrows, he must shoot nine at you, and the tenth he must shoot at you also! For indeed you have changed the religion, killed the righteous and claimed divine light”. So he [the general] had him brought into public, then beaten and then he ordered a Jew who peeled off his skin.”

Abu Tharr Al-Hafith said: “Banu ‘Ubaid imprisoned him and they crucified him [for being] upon the Sunnah. I heard Ad-Daraqutni mention him while crying, saying: While being skinned he was reciting:
{كَانَ ذَٰلِكَ فِي الْكِتَابِ مَسْطُورًا}

{That has been written in The Book [of decrees]} – [Al-Israa:58]”

Ma’mar Ibn Ahmad said: “A trustworthy individual informed me that Abu Bakr was skinned from the crown of his head to his face. He was making remembrance of Allah and was patient until he [the skinner] reached his chest. The skinner then had pity on him and so stabbed him with a knife into his heart putting an end to his life.”

He also said: “…And when he had been skinned, recitation of The Qur’an could be heard from his body”

Ibn As-Sa’saa’ Al-Misri related that he saw Abu Bakr Ibn An-Nabulsi in a dream after he had been crucified while he was in the best appearance. So he said: “What did Allah do with you?” He replied:

“My Lord gifted me with eternal honour ~ And He promised me imminent victory and He brought me close and near to Him ~ And He said: Live delightfully in a life next to Me”

Excerpts: Imam Ath-Thahabi’s Siyar A’alam An-Nubula; 16/148 – 150

1 Shaikh Abdullah Al-Bukhari spoke concerning this Imam’s crucifixion in his lecture “Steadfastness upon the Sunnah” on 7th Shawwal 1436. The Shaikh and those present in the gathering cried when hearing the patience that this Imam had in remaining steadfast upon the Sunnah.

THE JOY OF SALAF UPON HEARING THE DEATH OF AHLUL BID'AH OR AN EVIL PERSON...

●Ibn Sa’d relayed in his Tabaqat, vol.6, p.280 that:

‘’Abdul Hameed bin ‘Abdur-Rahman al-Himani informed us: from Abu Haneefah from Hammad who said:

‘I informed Ibraheem of the death of al-Hajjaj. He made sujud (prostration) and then I saw him cry out of happiness.’ -Imaam adh-Dhahabi also mentions the report in Siyar, vol.4, p.542.

●Salamah Bin Shubaib (rahimahullaah) said:

‘’I was once with Abdur-Razzaaq As-San’aanee (rahimahullaah), then (news) of the death of Abdul Majeed reached us; so he said: 'All praise is due to Allaah, who relieved the Ummah of Muhammad [sallal-laahu-alayhi-sallam] of Abdul Majeed Ibn Abdil Azeez' . -[Ref: siyar a’laam an-nubulaa 9/435]

This Abdul Majeed Ibn Abdil Azeez Ibn Abee Ruwaad was a figurehead of Ir’jaa (deviant sect).

●‘Ubaydullah bin ‘Abdullaah bin al-Husayn, Abu’l-Qasim al-Khaffaf, well-known as Ibn an-Naqeeb: Ibn Katheer mentioned him in al-Bidayah wa’n-Nihayah, vol.12, p20 saying:

‘He was from the Imaams of the Sunnah, and when the news of the death of Ibn al-Mu’allim, a Shi’a faqeeh, reached him he made Sujud ush-Shukr to Allaah. Then he sat for a while and said: ‘’I do not care for any time I die after witnessing the death of Ibn al-Mu’allim.’’’

●Imaam adh-Dhahabi stated in al-‘Ibar fi Khabr man Ghabar, vol.2, p42 when discussing the events of the year 332 AH:

’The caravans did not perform Hajj due to the death of the Qaramitah leader, the tyrant, Abu Tahir Sulaiman bin Abi Sa’id al-Jannabi. Who died in Ramadhan in Hajar (Bahrain) because of a smallpox infection that killed him. May Allaah not have mercy on his body even the size of a needle’s point.’

Note: Abu Tahir al-Janabi was from the heretical Qaramitah who attacked the Ka’bah in 929 CE. Al-Janabi ordered his troops to kill pilgrims and dump their bodies into Zamzam Well. Al-Janabi then tore off the door of the Ka’bah and took the Black stone and took it to the region of al-Ahsa in Arabia. They kept it for twenty years until the Fatimid Shi’ites ordered Qaramitah to return it to the Ka’bah.

●When the news of the death of the deviant Bishr al-Marisi was announced in the market, the people exclaimed:

‘If this was not a place of publicity it would be a place of prostration and giving thanks to Allaah! All praise is due to Allaah who brought about his death….’ zRelayed in Tarikh Baghdad, vol.7, p.66 and Lisan ul-Mizan, vol.2, p.308.

●It was said to Imaam Ahmed ibn Hanbal:

‘Is a man sinful for being joyous with what has happened to Ibn Abi Du’ad?’ (Ibn Abi Du’ad had been paralysed after suffering a stroke) – Imaam Ahmed replied: ‘’Who is not joyous with what has happened to him?!’’ -Al-Khallal, as-Sunnah, vol.5, p.121.

●When the news of the death of Wahb al-Qurashi, a deviant and head of misguidance, reached ‘Abdur-Rahman bin Mahdi, he said: ‘’All praise is due to Allaah who has brought ease to the Muslims from him.’’ -Ibn Hajar, Lisan ul-Mizan, vol.8, p.402.

●Al-Hafidh Ibn Kathir stated about one of the heads of misguidance and innovation in al-Bidayah wa’n-Nihayah, vol.12, p.338:

‘’Allaah brought ease to the Muslims with his death in Dhu’l-Hijjah. He was buried in his home and then transported to the cemetery of Quraysh, unto Allaah is all praise and favour. When he died Ahl-us-Sunnah were so happy and joyous, and they manifested their thanks to Allaah. None of Ahl us-Sunnah could be found except that they were praising Allaah.’’

A Reported Picture of the Prophet & Abu Bakr from Judaeo-Christian Times

It is reported from the Companion Jubayr b. Muṭʿim – Allāh be pleased with him – that he said:

I once travelled to Shām for trade. When I reached lower Shām a man from the People of the Book met me and asked me, “Is there amongst you a man who is a Prophet?” I replied, “Yes.” He then asked, Would you recognise his image if you saw it?” I replied, “Yes.” He then admitted me into a house in which there were images, but I did not see an image of the Prophet ﷺ. While I was there, another man from them entered upon us and asked us “What are you doing?” So we informed him. He then took us to his home, and as soon as I entered I saw the image of the Prophet ﷺ and it showed a man holding on to the heel of the Prophet ﷺ. I asked, “Who is this man holding his heel?” He replied, “There was no prophet except that after him came another prophet, except this prophet, for there is no prophet after him. And this is the khalīfah after him.” And I saw that it looked like Abū Bakr – Allāh be pleased with him.

Ibn Kathīr, Al-Tafsīr, in the commentary of 7:157:

REGARDING HAIR ON THE LEGS!!!
When Shaykh Al Uthaymeen was explaining the hadith in which the Rasul said: "...... Allah was silent over some things not as forgetfulness but as a mercy over you" he, rohimahulloh, said: "and from the things worthy of mention here is hair on the legs" then he explained that all the hair in the human body is divided into three with regards their rulings
1. The one we are commanded not to touch such as beards for men and hair on the head for a women (shaykh saalih Al Fawzaan brought evidences in one of his books that its haram to cut it too except with conditions).
2. The hair we are commanded to shave which are hair on the private part and the armpits.
3. The hair which nothing was mentioned regarding it I.e the hair on the leg. The shaykh argued that since there's no command to either remove it or leave it then we have the right to do any of the two i.e if you like shave it, if you like leave it.
But he, rohimahulloh advised that for men it's better they leave the hair on their legs because it shows masculinity while it's better for women to shave it because it makes them more beautiful.....
When people don't know this and they see a woman doing it they might say she's imitating those girls who do beauty pageant others will say she's removing what Allah gave her naturally and it's not so, shaykh has explained it's halaal.
May Allah make us understand more than it has been said.
