I voted Obgono but both are wonderful soups my opinion, it all depends on who's making the soup cus in our house we make both individually well. Mum, Dad and their Five Children are wonderful cooks. imagine in a family where there is cooking competition. grin

Egusi is really attractive.I used to like Egusi very much when i was younger. But i'll gor ogbono anytime, anyday. Not just ogbono but ogbono with Okporoka and assorted dry fish.

After sooooo long, ogbono is finally catching up with 62 to egusi's 64. Could it be that people are finally seeing the light?? grin grin grin grin.

^^^ You can say that again. I think they are only just emerging from the desiccated wilderness of egusi into the smooth sailing, tantalising, pleasant (albeit slippery, be careful!  wink ) world of ogbono. Finally they are realing the power packed into that slippery soup. Anyone still in doubt needs to visit Edo State to eat the authentic one! smiley

Ye-aaaah!!!! Slippery but sumptuous!! And you are right (as usual grin). Edo makes the best version of ogbono soup, very authentic.

I go for egusi coz its easier to prepare than ogbono and egusi can be used with many other dishes- rice, noodles, bread, etc. But ogbono can only be eaten with eba/p.yam/fufu. If the ogbono is too thick, God help you o. And sometimes, i feel like vomiting after eating ogbono so i vote 4 egusi

Madness at its best. You're following me around now, is that the latest thing? tpiah you are DDEMENTED. I am ashamed that I even raised issues with someone who is so obviously deranged. Can't your family lock you up somewhere, away from the public eye, and esp. from NL??

obviously you have no shame, so quit fooling yourself.

come sha, what's with this your constant nagging about me leaving nairaland?

is that what you were sent here for? To run me off?

have you succeeded or you need to foam some more?

were.

LOL. Between you and me, who is displaying the very essence of were? Who is running after who to each and every thread, like the escaped lunatic you are? You are the kind of child your mother should have smothered at birth. She must have been wishing she did it when ever she looks at your dracula face. Head of cow. It will never be well with you, were oshi. And yes, me and half the members on Nairaland want you OUT. You doubt me? Should I start a poll? Most Hated NL Member. You should be spat on. You disgrace to womanhood. It is an injustice to the people of Yorubaland to be told a fish like you is claiming their tribe. Beast of no family.
